Can Gallup play with his knee injury?
I am thinking about all those defensive players we signed on one year deals.

Word is, he may start the 2022 season on PUP but could be ready by Oct. As for the bottom-feeding D players, I'm 100% confident we can and will keep any we want to ( Hooker, Kearse )

Jimmy G beat Aaron Rodgers, so much for the "all about the QB" simplified thinkers on this board.

Is the QB important? Of course he is, it's the most important job in football. Is that all you need? Obviously, not. Such simplifications are reserved for the acerebral.

So the Cowboys are not only short at QB, they're short at other positions too.

While Jerry wrestles over his coaches, realize this team has more flaws than you want to believe. Then ask yourself if old Jerry can fix them.

This team is screwed. I don't like it, you don't like it, but that's our reality.
I would love to get some decent coaches in here first before I pass judgement on ALL players. For the life of me I can't figure out why this staff couldn't make adjustments in strategies nor poor player performance. Our players made the same mistakes all season. It was maddening!! OC, O line, D line, RB and of course QB coach all did terrible. The middle of both lines are "Lamb Tough" weak and easily moved. Strength and conditioning program needs to be activated NOW!!

Football 101: “Teams that controleth the trenches doth usually win playoff games. Teams that can block and tackle better than their opponents doth usually win championships. Teams with good defenses hath the greatest chance to winneth”.

I know you been preaching that sermon for years brother. And you are correct! Wide receivers don’t win championships.
Cincy just made the AFC championship game. Who did they sign in FA while we were ferting around w/ JAGs? Top 5 NT DJ Reader. 13 mil/season. 2020. In that preaseason, we paid around the same amount for Canady, HaHa, and Poe.

The bone-chilling weather conditions favored defensive play, and those units on both clubs performed pretty well. It was certainly not a night where ANY quarterback was, realistically, going to light up the scoreboard. Despite Rodgers thoroughly outplaying JG statistically, the GB special teams surrendered the game, straight up. Unlike some other posters here, I fail to see how this contest in any way constitutes an indictment of Green #12.

In any event, I hate Green Bay, and am ecstatic they lost. :)

I used to post regularly on this site as you can tell by my post count. I haven't logged in in quit a while nor made a post in maybe 2 years? I came back here and after reading Bob's post which I agree with BTW, I wanted to share my thoughts. I no longer believe anything Jerry or the majority of the Kool aide drinking fans have to say about this team anymore. The culture in Dallas has been a problem ever since Jimmy left. That is when Jerry finally took over everything from nuts to whatever the heck he said. Since then it has been a disaster. If you created a chart of the Cowboys like a stock chart, it would scream short this sucker. As long as Jerry lives, I think it will remain this way. He over pays players who perform in their contract year then go silent. This team is littered with over paid and under performing players of said contracts. Watching the Kurt Warner expose on Dak and the Cowboys that he released recently about the San Fran game ought to infuriate Cowboy fans. But it won't, many will protect their boy and blame everything else but him as usual. Attention to detail is non existent on this team. It has been this way since Jimmy left. HELLO, ANYONE HOME. Bill Parcells re-instilled it then it was gone again when he left. Why? Because of JERRY JONES. I cannot stand that shallow, hollow, characterless, immoral, wannabe man. He literally disgusts me. The Cowboys that I grew up loving, that the likes of Tom Landry and Roger Staubach polished into a dynasty and top tier football franchise has all been tarnished by Jerry Jones. Nothing will change, next year will be a repeat. What is beyond amazing to me is that many fans will forget this debacle, just like they do every year, will drink the new kool aide that the idiot Dallas media will hand them to drink, and will start their unsubstantiated delusion all over again only to be let down once again at seasons end. It is a viscous cycle. The insanity that anyone thinks this team will change is astounding. The mind control is very deep I know. I jumped off that bandwagon last year and watched this team this year with much less expectations. I saw the delusion mounting in all the youtubers, I knew what was coming. I wanted them to win as I have for 50 years now, but I knew they wouldn't. Despite being told over and over and over how good this team is, I knew they were an average team with a few good players. It is just the programming that goes on by the media and the Jones clan to keep your dollars heading their way. The reality though is they are not a good team and more importantly they are a horrible franchise. Their weaknesses ALWAYS get exposed by better teams. So, carry on as you wish. Ignore me, ban me, block me, do what you want, I don't care. Hopefully more long time fans like me, who know what a real team and a real franchise looks like, will step off the Jerry Jones train too. Good luck to you all and do something better with your time. God bless.

Jerry is a great salesman. It’s the only way he’s kept this fan base hoping. Every passing year it gets harder and harder to sell his snake oil.

And yes, this team has talent issues at multiple positions. And is being led by a soon to be 80 year old “GM” who thinks he’s a “football guy” because of his bank account. And hires all his kids as executives with lifetime contracts regardless of results.

What could possibly go wrong with this formula? LOL!
I used to think it would finally catch up with him but not anymore. Too many fans are eternal optimist just like him. The first sign next year with a 3-0 start, etc and the hype will start all over again cause fans just like with anything are so desperate to believe in anything. If half the country will buy into fake news and alternative facts its not much of a stretch understanding how half of our fanbase could buy into Jethro’s crap.

I think one reason Jerry has been so mad this week is I think deep down (though he won’t admit it) he knows he doesn’t know what he’s doing. Will McClay has saved him from decades of draft embarrassment.

But when it comes to hiring coaches and how to build a roster that wins playoff games, he’s completely clueless. And I think he’s angry because he knows it’s true.
That’s a big part of it. But the bigger thing is he knows some of that but he also knows he’s not going to change his ways. I think he’s mad cause he sees he’s not as close as he thought he might be. And that the coaching change didn’t put him over the hump either.

Who knows , he might actually have bought into the hype as well. It’s difficult reading whether he’s selling or he actually believes it too. Maybe it’s some of both.

He’s either not going to do anything or he’s liable to really shake it up out of frustration, Honestly, I’m not sure. I know he hates to lose Moore. He may be waiting to see if he gets an offer before making a move.

Two good games today.

Looking forward to two more tomorrow!

Not even bothered that Dallas didn’t play. Guess I’m used to it by now.

I might add you're a damn handsome man...

I’m somewhat mad at myself for believing in another Jerry Jones created team. And I’m serious about calling the Jones Cartel out. They deserve a lot more criticism from the fan base than they get.

Preach it brother. If just a small minority of the fan base would stand up to this evil Jones cartel they might one day realize that they've been screwing the Cowboys nation all along and just get out of the way.

We can only dream.

I really hope you won't meet too many "told you so" guys because I really enjoyed your optimistic analysis throughout the season and learn a thing or two from your long grown football knowledge. But I was also blinded by them for too long and it's actually pretty relaxing to get off of that lame horse.

I always tried to stay on middle ground, see both sides of their performances. Even defending Rush before that Vikings game, lol. But for now it's nice to be pissed see this team (and especially Dak) for what they are: losers.

Even those of us who see it for what it’s become are still following and watching. We are all guilty to some degree. There are some who have totally walked away.

Jethro’s biggest fear is fan apathy. He’s addressed it before. Locally he’s feeling it but nationally and statewide support is still there.

For example there’s been some home broadcast which have had as large of audiences per capita in other states or cities in Texas than Dallas which is unheard of.

Jethro continues to be the most hated sports personality in DFW area while the Cowboys are most loved. It’s a love/ hate relationship many ole diehards like myself and others find it very difficult to totally walk away from cause we grew up so addicted .

And we love football . We’d be watching football anyway. And since they’re our local free game we watch . But we also get some consolation watching him suffer when we lose. Even if it’s just emotional not financial.

I got the Rams and Buffalo....

Rams vs SF rematch in the NFC....

Cincy vs Buffalo....in the AFC....

Cincy vs SF Super Bowl.......the Joe Burrow reign of terror begins.

Actually I'm rooting for the Bengs now. Not because of Burrow, but I'd just love the idea of them kicking Brady in the nuts in his last SB appearance. :D

And because SF must not get another SB before we do. :(

Right there with you.....Jerry can take his 54.00 rum and cokes in the stadium and shove it. That should tell you how he runs his business. It shows right through the people he hires. He doesn't care as long as people keep paying...and people keep showing up.

I love that GB lost too, but I pray that Booger doesn’t justify keeping Corky because of it…we’ve already paid dearly once already by getting the 3 seed instead of the 4.

Two different games. Those type of temperatures will kill an offense. Besides Rodgers had the lead with less than. 5 min to go and was throwing the ball. That was dumb because they had been able to run all game. Dak has had these same issues every year against playoff caliber teams.
