Another Dak thread? I guess it really is all about the QB.

LOL!!!!

What power this man has to rule our attentions. And getting paid 10s of millions a year to do it.

Jerry definitely know true Gold when it is presented.

Can't stop talking about him.

Literally every quarterback of every team is the most talked about and discussed…… most important player on the team and the the guy that can command 20% of the teams salary cap….. nothing unusual in him being the main topic

How do they see it?

I'm not necessarily talking about Dak. Emmitt was named an alternate for the NFC in 2000 and he turned down the invite. When they did a retrospective of his career in 2002, they credited him for a 9th Pro Bowl selection.

In order to be considered a Pro Bowler for a given year, a player must either have been one of the initial players selected to the team, or a player who accepts an invitation to the Pro Bowl as an alternate; invited alternates who decline to attend are not considered Pro Bowlers.

Yeah, I follow this....I'm just going by what saw not too long ago when I was doing some research on Emmitt for a writing project.

He already got his big contract. No need to play this chip in negotiations. He should give some of money to Logan Ryan

Why get hurt for a nothing game? He wants to heal up and plan for next year. I would too. This just gives realists and Eeyores a “reason” to whine more.

What you call whining turned out to be pretty accurate predictions. It’s like all these things that are labeled conspiracy theories that turn out to be true a few months down the road.

And a QB getting hurt in a Pro Bowl? Dude was supposedly in the best shape of his life and had two non-contact injuries. That’s right, Homers were upset when whiners questioned if that wasn’t just a cliche being used. Guess who was right about that?

I would think one of these years you would stop calling out whiners who see things for what they are.

Alternate pro bowl pick is a joke, being the 7th or 8th QB asked is embarrassing.
We've had some highly praised players make the Pro Bowl as alternates or substitutions........that's embarrassing too, but highly praised on the Board.

I agree, any position when a player is a alternate after other players drop out or decline makes the designation embarrassing. A player shouldn't get any credit as a pro bowler unless he is an original designation, allowing fans to vote is a joke too. Why they even play the game is odd with all the player safety talk. I mean Hurts is a pro bowler, doesn't make sense. The honor has been greatly cheapened as the years go by.

More of a Participation Certificate for many now. Agree even more regarding player safety. Game unnecessary now.....IMO.

……I don’t want him to risk losing his scrambling ability with a debilitating ProBowl injury

I’m calling out people who are perpetually miserable, who endlessly spread their misery and take it all too seriously, who act like THEY own the team, have millions invested and who think they have all the answers.

1)It’s a game! We’re supposed to enjoy it!
2)Everyone here is speculating. Including me and you.
3)The NFL is a year to year sport. Hundred of variables affect a tenuous, ever changing system.
4)There’s no awards banquets, no one gets more friends, more money, more control, and there’s nothing any of us can do about it. Too many “realists” need to have a handle on everything, control their environment, and are angry and terrified when they realize they’re like everyone else.
5)It’s a game! We’re supposed to enjoy it!

I thought he'd start with the injury excuses. He wasn't on the injury report after the Minnesota game (and he wasn't before that game either. He was on the injury report for 2 or 3 weeks during the season. Teams lose draft picks for not disclosing injuries (The Seahawks lost a second round pick I think)? The injury stuff is an excuse for his poor play. The Cowboys wouldn't risk draft capital to hide an injury that they can use as an excuse for his play anyway.

That game has to go, imagine Deebo Samuel with the way he runs playing pro bowl lets not get hurt ok gang mentality, that will be funny to watch if I watched the pro bowl, I don't.

Use to be the College All Star game, some college all stars vs NFL Champs, think about that today, whoa! Well they dumped that silliness, ah....college kids won nine times. Well here we are again with a game that just doesn't work anymore, first off no player wants to be there and nobody will chance spending the off season banged up over a nothing game like that.

Don't blame Dak or anyone for getting out of that silliness. Guess it will take a serious injury before the NFL figureS it out,

Yes you vote the players in for that honor but forget the actual game.
Its not the super bowl.....its your typical all star game. For fun. Lighten up sheesh.

Pro Bowl noms are a bit watered down these days - when so many guys skip out or are playing in the SB, you end up getting guys 4-5 players down the list.

Game is dumb anyway and I would be fine seeing it go away.
