Am I the only one who gets angrier every time we win another award or accolade? Who cares we lost the first round to a team with no QB, in our own house, AND we were healthy. I'm only 33 so I've never truly witnessed the glory years. I'm so sick of awards excluding the only real one that matters. Am I alone in this?

I feel good for Parsons and Quinn. They earned it. Just because the team laid another egg in the playoffs shouldn't diminish those accomplishments in the eyes of the public.

I hear ya !
Glad for the players and coaches who were awarded the honors,
but its a team game and we fell flat on our faces.
Hard to feel good about that !

The Cowboys have sent 139 players to the Pro Bowl since 1996 and have four playoff wins to show for it and that is by far more than any other team, especially teams who have been in the play offs and won the super bowl.

To me the Rookie of the Year award is still fantastic, but until these "stars" decide to start playing like stars when it counts I'm with you.

Our talent is historic. That's without question.

If they had the most underachieving team of the year award the Cowboys would win that practically every season.

I care about the awards less every year. I wonder if we could make the NFC championship game if we had 22 All-Pros and all of the "of the year" awards. I kinda doubt it at this point.

Probably not but I don't understand the anger. Those awards are for a season long performance. And overall the Cowboys had a good regular season. 12-5 is nothing to sneeze at.

The post season is something completely different. Tying regular season awards to post season performance is like trying to mix oil and water.

Team wilts under pressure. I miss the days when they thrived under pressure.

I don't know if they wilted. They just failed to take it up a notch in the playoffs. Lack of intensity.
The oline was fully healthy, and everyone had games to shake the rust off. Time for the big guys to lead the way. But not. Maybe Nate is right about how Philbin's passive, reactive blocking techniques are holding back the oline. But lots of money and picks into that oline, and meh in the big game.
Worse, the WRs just seemed to be strolling around all day.
Will somebody please look like they give a damn?

I'm old enough to remember all of the Cowboys Super Bowl years. I honestly can't tell you who won individual awards back then, but I've never cared much about them.

At this point I'm really sick of Pro Bowl berths and awards. It's all the Cowboys ever "win" these days.

Thats the thing...it will not change until the guy in charge says "These player awards dont matter I want the team award" and for 26 years its been about "Look at the player I found" not "Look at the Franchise i put together from GM to Coaches to an actual team that is one mind one goal"...the guy writing the checks is happy and lets the players know its about his relationship with the "Players he found" even gave us 10 years of "The Coach he found" and dont look now but we are about to see boy genius #2 get a shot.

I have never cared about any of those awards except the NFL Man of the Year and was very happy when Witten won that.

There is far too much player love here which is exactly what they accuse Booger of doing. Same goes for the hate side.

I only care what this team does and could care less about individual players and have actually not liked some players and had to swallow that for the team concept. I am a laundry guy and don't care who is wearing it as long as it's not a piece of filth like vick.

Dude, I don't even look at that unless we win it all. Meaningless to me. I am glad for Parsons, it isn't his fault.

I was lucky. I was 25 years old when the Cowboys won in '92. Practically the prime of my life. The amount of drunken debauchery taking place over the following years was heaven, and not suitable for explanation on this site.
