Cowboys Due Diligence Process
Day 1: What you guys think of this player he's now a free agent? OK let's see what he wants money wise.
Day 2: OK they looking for 15 million we were thinking 7.5 let's go watch some film and make some calls to see if he's worth increasing our offer to 10 million a season.
Day 3: Guys anything new on the player? Nope watch some film he's pretty good, is he a scheme fit?
Day 4: Coaches does he fit in with what you want to do? Resounding yes, OK we're thinking about making a push for them.
Day 5: Call to agent, hey are you still looking for 15 million a season? Yep, OK we'll let you know.
Day 6: Player finalizing deal with _______ for 12 million annually.
Day 7: Well that was more than we wanted to pay what backup player with starting experience could be a good value signing at the same position?
Day 8: I think I found the next Aldon Smith!!!! Jackpot
