100% correct on Jerry! He can look you in the face and lie about doing anything to win a championship. Then he keeps the same guy running the show who hasn't done anything in 26 years. Straight up lying salesman, his son at least doesn't hide the fact he could care less about winning.
And believe it or not, I can at least respect JJ slightly for at least working hard enough to buy the Cowboys and to find new and creative ways for the NFL to be financially sound. Stephen? I have zero respect for. He’s earned nothing, learned nothing, has nothing on the line, and has accomplished nothing, and can do whatever he chooses with nothing at stake. He’s the worst.

The saddest part of all is that Jerry is a good enough businessman (as much as I hate giving him any credit) that he makes just as much $ off the spectacle the Cowboys are than he does wins. Even if “true fans” stopped showing up Jerry World would still be packed. Even if it’s opposing fans just to show up and hate the cowboys, Jerry is going to get paid off it.

yeah, and what is more comical is the fans who get mad at other fans for not giving a crap anymore. "oh, you're just a bandwagon fan" naw we just see what the team actually is, a steaming pile of crap.
"Why do you watch then?" because. it means nothing anymore, win or lose. I have no emotions attached to these losers.

I enjoy watching jerry squirm and look confused that his master plan isn't working and can't figure out why. pure enjoyment and I hope it never stops.

Yes. It's this 27th year of the same thing that will be the tipping point for fans.
I swear, I really mean it this time, someday I am gonna leave that heartbreaker!

I don't hold that against anybody, we are fans and we are not normal. At least when members do that in here, we can all laugh it off because we know it's BS. If we haven't said it, doesn't mean we haven't thought it.

Sometimes we all feel like we are in a constant loop of "Shane", telling ourselves at the end he lived.

Shane died and Booger killed him.

I feel this season is a tipping point for the Jones boys. If they don't do much more to upgrade this team other than the draft and this team goes 1 and done again next year or worse, I can see some of the fan base checking out. I know I will start getting disinterested. This team had a big chance to go after it this year with the NFC getting weaker and what have they done for far? Gave away Cooper and Collins for nothing to create more cap space just to sit on it while watching a bunch of teams make big moves. Chargers already have Bosa go out and trade for Mack. Those are the type of moves that can put you over the top. Remember when they did that with Haley?? Imagine Parsons and Mack together?? The Jones boys don't look to make those type of moves anymore. They seem content with being good enough and trying to be cute with depth guy signings. If we are fed the same crap this year then they stop becoming appointment TV for me and forget buying or going to games. Just my opinion how do you guys feel?
All,
The Cowboys fan base has already crossed the Rubicon. We havent held the FO responsible since 1994. The media was tough on Jerry for a few years but I think they just moved off from that story as it became boring.
The Cowboys have not won anything meaningful for a generation now. We are officially mediocre and no amount of flash, hoopla, Americas team crap Jerry sells will change that. We are literally a caricature of a winning team.
Stephen A, has been right..... eventually the Boys will screw it up. I hate him but he has been spot on.

The reason for that is when he bought the team, Johnson was the builder and Booger was the promoter.

The worst thing that can happen to a promoter is for it to come true because that's all Booger has had to be since those early 90's. He is still promoting and very successful at that.

But he is not a salesman with this team, he is a pitchman. A real salesman must make the close. Booger just promotes it to a willing audience and they close themselves.

He is pitching and promoting; not producing. He doesn't have to so he doesn't.

My personal tipping point came when I realized this is just a game. It is owned by billionaires, played by millionaires and neither cares as much about winning as the fans do.

I know that is hard for some to accept, that playing football is just a job but that's all it is. It is a fun job to some of them but it is still a job.

I am not dependent on what any team does for my happiness and refuse to get bummed by any of them. Being a fan allows for certain forgiveness to oneself for getting a little crazy but passion is a true force.

I have approached an area that I never thought I would reach and I do not know if it is just aging or conditioning to expectations but I watch with a level of detachment. I used to use the term "we" to discuss my teams and now it is "them".

And as I like to do when the occasion arises, I used to be a rabid fan and by rabid I mean nobody wanted to be around me when we were losing. I was a total jerk. I regret that so much now but the best I can do is not be that guy and I am not. Please, if you feel you are approaching being that guy, take yourself out to the woods and kick your own butt. It is just a game and not worth it. Games are supposed to be fun.
I’m there too. I long ago stopped letting a loss or disappointment in sports spoil even an hour of my life. My sports appetite is all about enjoying the experience. I want the Cowboys (and my other favorite sports teams like the Mavs, Texas Tech football and basketball) to win. But if they don’t, it changes nothing about my life.

Maybe that’s just a by product of being older; maybe it’s the perspective that time brings but whatever happens with the Cowboys changes nothing about my health or happiness. I want them to win as they are my childhood team that my dad, brother and I all bonded around. I have seen every single Cowboys playoff game since 1966- all on television. So many fond memories with my family where the Cowboys were the backdrop.

For that reason alone I have stayed loyal because I refuse to let the Jones buffoons steal the joy I once had about being a Cowboys fan. I will always want them to win. I no longer expect anything but what we’ve been getting. With the Jones way of running this thing, it is clear unless they take a backseat, only a stunning miracle of planet alignment would allow them to win anything of consequence.

With the current way this organization is run, it is more likely to snow in Dallas on the 4th of July than the Cowboys winning a SB.

I have the satisfaction of watching his face when they lose so I win either way. I know that is warped but part of me just doesn't care if they win because he's made his face the face of the franchise. I like the clown's sad face but I love his mad face.

I was a Raiders fan and watched Al slowly get Crazy but I always felt he earned the right to do that. He was the original maverick and when another owner pissed him off, he'd sick Ben Davidson on their players on the field. LMAO, freakin' 6'8" prototype for the Hell's Angels in a uniform and Crazy Al was his Dr. Frankenstein.

The people who check out did so years ago. Us diehard fools have stuck around, but my interest level is nowhere close to what it was in the past. The reason is simple: I have lost all hope that Jerry and Stephen can ever get this team back to the Super Bowl, as long as they continue to operate as they have for 26+ years.

Unfortunately, they have no reason to change unless they decide winning any way possible is better than playing fantasy football front office. As long as there is no financial incentive to change, and none is on the horizon, I think they just have too much fun doing things their way to even consider anything else.

So I still follow, but for different reasons. Part of me will always hold out hope that they prove me wrong. The rest of me just laughs when Jethro makes a "super bowl or bust" proclamation on wild card weekend, proceeds to be the only home team to lose (I bet on it happening), and is absolutely stunned in the aftermath.

I became disinterested after 2016. That playoff loss finally broke me completely. I still watch them, but I fully expect them to choke when the pressure is on and don't even care when they lose anymore. 2016 was their best chance to make the Super Bowl. Too bad they botched the draft. They had a stacked offensive line and wasted a top 5 pick on a RB then drafted a LB that couldn't even play when they were in win now mode. Ramsey and Jack were the picks. They needed defensive help.

Top teams are going for the kill like Rams, Bucs, Browns, Chargers, Broncos etc.

Bad teams such as Jets and Jags are staying pat. We are in between both of them where Jerry pumps us like top team but we are not.

Absolutely. People will continue to whine and watch just like they do when they complain about the game itself. Can't keep track of all the "I might actually stop watching this time, I tells ya" posts only to have them still be around years later.

……which is literally what the fans of 30 other NFL teams are probably saying every season

I was there five years ago. This clown act was apparent years ago. I have not bought one item with a Dallas insignia on it and will not go to any games. No more of my money is going to support this pitiful excuse for an NFL franchise. Murchinson is rolling over in his grave!!

I'm pretty much checked out now. This team is a dump right now and is generating zero excitement. We lose a lot of our key players, resign fringe players, grab a couple of bargain players and we're supposed to be competitive?

I hear that the Rams are possibly going to get Wagner. Why waste time supporting a team that isn't even trying? I think it will take Dak or Parsons demanding a trade to shake things up. Stephen Jones wants to trot a bargain budget team on the field. I see zero desire to win.

Wishful thinking, the fanbase will continue lining up and paying because they do not demand success, just show up.

I do fault the Joneses but their enablers are the people who continually support such an evident pretender that tries to give the illusion of progress.

Agree. Sheep will continue to renew their season tickets regardless of the record just to see and be seen at AT&T stadium.

The Cowboys are an official part of my circle of love. I do not turn my back on my circle. My family and my friends will always have my support, as will the Cowboys.

They have been bleeding fans and fan interest for years.
I don't care near as much as I used too.
There are many others who feel the same way.
Most of us are old time fans who have too much invested to walk away from this circus.

If they haven’t checked out by now they likely won’t. Also can’t discount the amount of corporate cash that’s keeping this train chugging along.

If the fan base didn’t check out during Garrett’s tenure, going one and done isn’t going to push them away now.
