Personally speaking, I am still finding it really hard to be excited about things. Usually I’ll get pretty amped up for the draft and find a sliver of hope as to how the team can/will be good during the upcoming season. Right now though, I just don’t have it.

I’ve never been this emotionally detached from the Cowboys. I thought the dejection after the 49er game catastrophe would subside, but it hasn’t.

I’ve religiously watched the Cowboys since I was 7 years old, and that won’t change. But I just can’t find it in me to me excited about anything concerning the team or organization. I can appreciate when they play well during the regular season, but at the end of the day, I (and any reasonable fan) want/need more. And as currently constructed, a few good regular season performances is the absolute best we can hope for from this team. Because once January rolls around, we all know how the script plays out.

I don’t know. I guess I wanted to do a general check in with you guys and see where you’re at. And maybe some of you can help me find something to be optimistic or excited about.

might be getting older, living in a place with a ton of stuff going to complete, growing more fond of other sorts, or more likely just apathy but I used to live and breathe this team. Pre-game, post, podcasts, etc but now I care mainly because my mom got into it as a way to have something to bond with my brother and me.

That’s what bums me out and why like if my post history were ever analyzed, lol, you saw someone who talked about the serious stuff, never about the skip bayless that tends to dominate, to now I just rip on how big of a buffoon Stephen is. That got has me hopeless.

The Cowboys could do one thing before the draft that would actually get my hopes up a bit...and that would be cutting Kelvin Joseph for conduct. It would show that maybe, just maybe they realize that culture is a problem that they need to work on in order to get further.

I've been watching a lot of old Cowboys games from the Triplet years. My gosh, the difference in efficiency compared to the current Cowboys is staggering.

I just watched the first half of the '96 Wild Card game vs the Vikings. Aikman and Irvin were absolutely unstoppable. Troy's passes were so precise and crisp -- an absolute thing of beauty. He force fed Irvin the ball over and over, and the Playmaker delivered with his customary flare and passion.

Makes me miss having confidence in my team to perform when games really mattered. Back in those days, you knew the stars were going to show up.

Today? It's a given that we are gonna go down by multiple scores early, and look borderline incompetent.

Mods keep over moderation my posts my enthusiasm for this place is zero!! they allow whatever on the front page and cut many of my posts because they feel it challenges then. You wont see this but they will..

I feel like a small country being invaded by the red army..

I feel we are headed to a lame duck season.
Stephen only knows NFL draft and he is so solely depended on that to make it to SB.
I thought he’d at least pursue the Robert Quinn like, low-high reward like trades, but even that’s a no-go now.

- I’ll wait to see both NFL draft and post draft (ala bargain FA’s) to finally state our roster.

- I have no idea what McCarthy is supposed to bring to this team as a HC and offensive mind. I don’t feel his will, importance and presence here.
And I have my suspicion that Mac is not content and on page with the Jones front office behind the scenes. The Sean Payton or Dan Quinn next HC rumors are helping
matters. I expect turmoil from offseason to go into reg season, and i expect Mac to re-sign at season's end.. (forced out behind the scenes) ..

- McCarthy helping out Kellen Moore ? Nope, I’m not buying it. It’s Kellen or bust. And KM truly got exposed. He doesn’t know RB use, doesn’t adjust on the run, and
heavy zone scheme just killed him, and he still iffy in red zone.

- Good news is Quinn returns as DC, but he’ll likely have pass rush and run defense issues, and unit still surrenders big yards/plays.
Gregory was only key big loss on defense, but it was still a big one.

WRONG first off players were brought in and others can be post draft...

if that were the case how did we end up with Cooper in 2018 that snot the drfat ..IUf fans would stop the whinefest and overactions and wait for the final rosters to be built which would lead all the way up to the game 1 week prep and also all the ay until the trade deadline..ummkkkk

a bunch of nonsenses hes reying the draft last year we brought in hooker, Kearse, Kazee, Neal, urban, Watkins and others..all seemed to eb good moves and so far we signed most of our own but Fowler and Washington came in and teams will cut players post draft then post june 1st many players are still available now and more to come..they have put hold on signings until after the draft and more will happen.

6months man that a long time to make roster improvements..
