Fish is back spreading more "Breaking News" from an "inside source" who says the Cowboys are seriously considering trading up to get what they feel is the best player in the draft: Edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux.

Can you imagine what it would cost the Cowboys to trade up from their #24 spot all the way into the top 5 spots to get Kayvon Thibodeaux? Or even to trade for him once he's picked by another team drafting in the top 5? Would Thibodeaux be worth such a cost?

What say you?

New York Jets 2022 NFL Draft Picks:
Round 1: No. 4

Round 1: No. 10 (from SEA)

Round 2: No. 35

Round 2: No. 38 (from CAR)

Round 3: No. 69

Round 4: No. 111 (from CAR)

Round 4: No. 117 (from MIN)

Round 5: No. 146

Round 5: No. 163 (from PIT)

Rumor is the Niners are asking for 10 and 35 for Deebo. If that's the case I think my proposal should be amended.

Cowboys Receive: the 4th overall pick and the 35th overall pick.

Jets Receive: Lamb, 24th overall pick, and the 88th overall pick.

The Cowboys would be able to draft a WR at 35 without moving up and giving up additional assets. They could still address the o-line at 56. Jets would still have a ton of assets. Obviously this trade would be far less risky if they just held on to Amari Cooper.

well i have no contol over it so i dont really care but that does make me nervous for cowboys if it did happen with how jerry and stephen build the roster and losing all that draft picks it would take

The future is what is worrisome.

They can sign starters at LG and WR. You can get by with what we have and adding a few players in FA. But losing the future 1's is painful

Then no way they're serious about trading up for Thibodeaux. Next season is transitional season before Sean Payton arrives based on the moves they have made. Taking a step back on offense for one year is the machiavellian move for Jerry to fire MM while setting up Sean Payton nicely for the 2023 season.

What's scary is Jerry being so marginalized around the league and considered an incompetent joke, might feel the need to make a big trade like this to get back some publicity and attention back.

I hope Jerry doesnt sell multiple picks both 2022 and future years to move up 20 spots in the draft.

Only way I see this as realistic is if someone on the Cowboys has a surprising amount of trade value to offset the number of picks this would take. Pollard? McGovern? Tyron? I just don't see a realistic solution to make such a trade happen.

Trade value? Man what are you smoking. Tyron - maybe. But very doubtful due to his recent injury history. The other two? A bag of chips and a large Coke.

I'm just trying to make sense of this in anyway I can. I feel like I have to be missing something for this to even be labeled a rumor by an actual source.

In a weaker year for OT's maybe. Why would you trade for Tyron when you can just stay put, draft Neal or Cross and be set at LT for a decade

He’s going top 10 and we’re not trading up that far for him. Draft is deep this year at alot of positions.
