Guess he'll play LG until he refines his technique. Might not be that bad in the long run.
Here come the lies… these country fools
That is because you are a fan and not a scout. He should be an immediate starter at LG that could probably develop into a starting tackle in the future. He has a high ceiling and plays nasty. To top it off he just turned 21 this month. One of the youngest players in the draft. Some days are very very hard to root for this team. Sincerely. This isn’t a knee jerk reaction. I just cannot find a single positive thing to say about this pick.
Again, project. You can try to discredit my opinion all you want, but I’m not wrong. There were a handful of players who would have made more of an impact in 2022. No spin job you try is going to change that. That is because you are a fan and not a scout. He should be an immediate starter at LG that could probably develop into a starting tackle in the future. There were 2-3 day 1 starters available. Weak draft or not, Tyler Smith was a project pick and confirmation that the Cowboys are most definitely not in win-now mode

I hear ya man. Appreciate you trying to bring some positive views. I’m just really tired of watching undisciplined line play (I’m scarred by #52 last year), and I already know we’re gonna see more of that from this kid next year lolim just giving you some positives on Tyler Smith. The pick has been made so we can at least look at what he does well. Year 1 might be rough but at some point we are going to get a highlight of him driving a DL into the ground.
Read that Johnson fell in the draft due to character concerns.Jermaine Johnson would have knocked Dante Fowler off your depth chart completely. That would have been such a strong pick.
It looks like he’s a duplicate of Williams from a technical perspective. He’s got a massive base and seems to be stronger than Williams, but I’ve seen a lot of clips of him playing reckless and getting manhandled. It’s scary.Serious question .......is he an upgrade over Connor Williams right now?

I agree with you about giving the kid a chance. It’s being sick of the front office that makes giving benefits of the doubt difficult.I know isn't a popular take but I'm willing to least give the kid a chance to play a game or two before pulling out the B card

I'm not doubting the pick at 24, just the 16th best comment. Dallas thought Tyler Smith was superior at playing the game of football over FIVE of these guys? That's so... odd.
