Based off of numbers sounds like somewhere around .15 to .2 separating them in their 40s ....so burst sounds slower but not too far off
Agree. There's going to be a lot of competition for those rotational tackle spots, it's way too early to say one or both will earn that type of role.

I will say that the way Jerry Jones spoke of Ridgeway at the draft, it sounded like they've got hope he can be that exact type of run stuffer. The 49ers game was more proof to Dallas that they have to get stronger in that area.

Sam Williams said he was disappointed in his 4.46 40 yd dash combine time. He said during his practices while getting ready for the combine, his slowest hand-timed speed was a 4.40 40. In other words, he was being hand-timed in the 4.3s. One can only imagine how much faster he could actually run than the 4.46 on record.

Do you feel Sam Williams has the closing speed similar to Micah Parsons rushing the passer? He seems to close the gap quick.

No. None of us feel that way. We hope to GOD he's like Parsons!! I'm just hoping he's better than Gregory. If he's like Parsons we got to throw a little party. I know I'll do it by myself if need be.

I feel Parsons has a way of getting more " skinny" and using his great change of direction footwork and agility to slip under the arms of
extended or over-extended out-stretch blockers.

Parsons not only has a great first step get off, but his ability to stop and restart while using his hands to shed blockers arms quickly on the way is something that
blockers are just continuing to have fits with. Micah just doesn't stay blocked.

" Dee" Williams may not have as many vast advance moves as Parsons does, coming out of college ranks, and may not be as top end agile as Parsons.
But this is a guy that is 30 pounds bigger, and for that size, he has his own great get off and knows how to use leverage.

Yeah, it will be disappointing if he has a Gregory career. We will see in training camp. Nobody saw Parsons as this devastating pass rusher until we started hearing practice reports.

The thing that gets me with Parsons is how stupidly explosive he is within a couple yards of the ball. He closes at rocket speed. It's like another gear all together. I'm super excited to see Williams, but I don't expect anyone can close quite like Parsons.

Greg’s was on a tear last year and than got hurt and it cooled him down. After all that he only had 6 sacks. Williams should be able to produce that in a limited role IMO.
