Who'll it be men, who will make the 5-6 WR roster spots?

Beloved chaps of the Lonely People's Club, me thesis today is tha we seem to have 2 solid receiver veterans and a WR chap Washington as our third option. Tolbert is penciled in for greatness.
So assuming we keep 5 to 6 WRs, we shall have

1. Ceedee
2. Gallup
3. Light Them Up Washington
4. Tolbert
5. Fehoko
6. Vasher
7. And . . . ahem . . . 5 other low-profile names largely.
Egads, did I overlook anyone? Anyone?

Assuming there will 6 spots open, I still canna see Noah Brown staying on, contract or no. The proud lad was not given sufficient looks in practice and game time. Poor Noah. But, per chance, like a pecan in an Inertia Pecan Cracker, his time hath come.
Make way for players 1-6 (as listed above) to be our WR corps and Brown and tthe intriguing Vasher :(shown the door. Hope tha if Vasher is waived we can get him on the practice squad.

Wha thoughts on your favorites? The low profile names to whom I alluded? Any ones who are sleepers?

Brown is tremendous value. Core special teamer, functional WR, and has a specific role on offense.

All for a Happy Meal more than veteran minimum. He's not just competing with WRs, he's competing with other special teamers, and likely winning.

With Gallup out, Brown probably gets 3rd most WR snaps. He's not going anywhere.

CeeDee, Gallup, and Tolbert are locks.

James Washington will make the team unless he shows up completely out of shape. $2M isn't an uncuttable salary if he sucks, but he should at least be expected to find a roster spot.

Noah Brown is the perfect depth receiver. He can play bit parts on offense, he has 4 years experience with Dak that rooks and practice squadders don't, he has long-proven STs value, and he works cheap. He is no threat to your top 3 guys, but he is clearly better than your bottom guys.

#6 will be whoever shows out in camp.

Then in yer estimation, old fellow, 1 slot for Vasher, Simi or Fryfogle?

We could be competitive again if a short range plan is developed for Dak and Washington with Tolbert and CeeDee His vertical game receivers. Furgie could be a surprise.

I haven't done the 53 man roster math, but teams usually don't carry more than 6 receivers. 1 of those 3 will take that last spot, and the Cowboys will try to stash probably one more on their practice squad.

Let me rephrase. Simi, Vasher and fryfogle would compete for the 6th spot if there are even 6 open spots.

Roberson the UDFA out of Wake Forest overtakes probably both Vasher and Fehoko and wouldn’t surprise if he pushes his way into actually contributing in regular season games .

I expect one of Drummond or Fryfogle to make the 53.

Possibly over Fehoko. Unfortunately injuries usually settle the numbers issue.

I like the 6' 6" guy. Dak could benefit from a larger catch radius. Need to check his arm length and hand size BRB.

If they keep a 6th maybe a FA addition or Fehoko.
I think the top 5 are really set
Who is 6 is really the only question and I think right now it’s really open
I think we will try and carry 6

Gallup's health will determine if they carry him immediately or stash him.

That could open a slot for a camp surprise.
My guess is you get 2 to the practice squad.

CowboysZone LOYAL Fan
1. Ceedee
2. Gallup starting on IR
3. Washington
4. Tolbert
5. Fehoko
6. Brown for ST and blocking

Because brown and Fehoko play ST I do not see them keeping another ST specialist and none of the rest would see time at WR so this is probably it.
