Wait what? I'm going to the Rams and Chargers training camps this week, besides going to the Cowboys training camp. The tickets are free, and I didn't need a fan invite. That doesn't make me a Rams or Chargers fan. I think it's interesting to see how different NFL teams run their camps. I hate the Eagles, but if I had a chance to see how they practice I would definitely do it.
You need to recognize how unique your situation is and understand it differs from most Cowboys fans. Please share your experience of those other team's training camps with us folks at CZ.

But everyone knew Josh had talent. He also didn't have the weapons he has now.

I forgot..Allen was the MVP of the "Famous Idaho Potato Bowl" in 2017 and his completion percentage for the 2017 season was 56.3. My point is that Allen was inaccurate his first two seasons with Buffalo. He has since evolved into a pretty good QB. If you want to do something interesting, go look at the 2018 QB draft. To sum it up, the QB draft was not loaded with talent. Baker Mayfield was the best of the bunch "on paper" and we know how well that worked. Truthfully, I don't care about Hurts. What does bother me is that Dak hasn't won anything yet and has squandered chances. Dak had Cooper and Lamb, arguably two of the best WRs in the league and where did it take him?

Mean not to take away from a fact that Dak has not won anything BUT "Arguably" 2 of the best WR in the league? I think you would get alot of arguing about it. Strong total WR room last year yes...individually 2 of the best wr's that would get argued heavily.

Today I drove an hour to watch a 50 minute practice. Fans there weren't happy. "No wonder you choke in the playoffs! You can't even practice 2 hours!" is what the guy next to me was yelling.

only player I ever liked from the Eagles and wished he was a Cowboy was Fletcher Cox.

He was terrible in his 1st two years no doubt. But things changed when they started to build a team around him and got him some weapons. They got Stephon Diggs in 2020 and thats what turned things around.

As for Hurts, he was inaccurate in college too. He is more of a running QB compared to Josh Allen. Hurts also has weapons too and hasn't capitalized on any of them. We'll see what happens this year. But I just don't think he'll amount to much and that Philly will go searching for a QB after this season.

So, I was invited to see camp by a friend who works for the Eagles. I used to go a few times back in the day when Juan Castillo was my neighbor and I was friendly with Jon Runyan. Here is what I saw.

To add to this, their offensive line is no joke. Hurts has plenty of time to make those throws, but just can't do it with any consistency. Twice he had 4+ seconds in the pocket and missed receivers who had their man beat. He did keep a few plays alive with his legs, but with that line, just throw the damn ball.

mall.

Miles Sanders could be a #1 back, but he just gets hurt too often, and does have a bit of the fumbles. He does have the talent.

.

This causes concern , eggles may have the Best OL in the business and they might use run game to keep most offenses in the bench.

We have, by far, the best QB in the division. Jalen Hurts still has no consistent timing with his receivers, nor does he have particularly good downfield vision. Being an Eagles fan must be frustrating, since watching AJ Brown and Davonte Smith, they clearly have real talent and speed at the WR position. Toss in Chez Watkins, and they would be very dangerous if they had a real QB.

Mishnew is what he is, a capable backup.

Carson Strong threw two balls that went 65+ yards in the air, and it didn't look like he was even trying. He has the arm strength of Hercules. Too bad he has the mobility of a pregnant cow. In the right system he could be a real player. I know they want to work with him and hopes he can become the #2.

I am 6'4", 275. Jordan Mailata walked past me. I felt small.

Miles Sanders could be a #1 back, but he just gets hurt too often, and does have a bit of the fumbles. He does have the talent.

On one play, Jordan Davis destroyed a blocker, shed another, and ran one of their scat backs down from behind.

The Eagles with a real QB would have a chance to go deep in the playoffs. Right now, they will finish second in the division and go out in the first round.

Just my humble opinion based on a limited look.
Good stuff Man!!!

Which team's practice did you see?

Cowboys. I'm kind of tempted to go see them again Saturday, but think I'll just stick with the plan of going to the Rams camp that day, as I already have a ticket for it. Also, I don't really feel like making a third to trip from Koreatown L.A. to Oxnard. So a drive to Irvine sounds fine.

One and done is going to be a stretch for the Boys. Look for the Western Div to have a minimum of (3) teams in the playoffs at the end of this reg season.

The Eagles might have the most talented team in the league but don't have a QB. And in the NFL, if you don't have a QB you don't have anything. The one thing they do have is 6 picks in the first two rounds in the next 2 years. They have more then enough to trade up next year for a QB.

We have arguably a top 5 QB and look what we have done with him.
