Just one day but this was sloppy.....

This is my biggest concern and still don't know why Oline was not addressed in free agency ?
Why would you pay your QB 40 Mill a year and not provide him adequate protection?
Not to mention it hurts your run game too.
I don't get it :(

That's dumb. That was only 1 play. The rest of the practice, the Oline dominated. It's absolutely ridiculous and deceitful to say this Oline had a terrible day because of 1 bad play. Plus, those fans are idiots if they want to blame Dak for that poor blocking.

Dak has been blamed for the defensive malfunctions, the kickers missed kicks, the people we didn't draft, the free agents we didn't resign, and the league leading penalties we had last season.

So for Dak to get blamed for bad blocking.... we're right on schedule.

And to be fair, I was wrong on Philbin. I thought he was a decent hire but someone, maybe Dre11 or someone else, was clear he was a mistake. I even argued with him over it. I was way wrong. Philbin should have been sent to the scrap heap after 2021. This OL is in a slow transition with younger players like Smith and Biadasz and Steele being asked to make large leaps to make the OL better. IMO, there should have been a new voice in the OL room.

I have been vehemently against Philbin for the past 2 seasons.

Actually, it was the tight end who failed to get the block coming across. The end or blitzer beat him to the spot. Couldn't tell who the tight end was, but he's easy to spot because he motions left then tries to come back to the right and pick up the end.

After viewing this clip it appears that 89 - Bunting needs to be carrying water for the players, not lining up on the O-Line.

So it was Bunting. Thanks for the eyes.

If I'm Jerry I call Quinn in the office and say OK COACH go ahead and start lining up your coaches for the offensive side of the football. Not that I'm saying you'll need them or anything just go ahead and line them up

Just wait till the games start rolling every week. Really, I hope Dak can survive without major injury. The FO has failed everyone who roots for the team by neglecting the OL, and they still haven't brought in a veteran when they probably need two.

Our line held up WELL last year's against that same team ,same game 1..so better is strong term from fan who can act on this threat lOL.

they will be scheming more , you realize in practice the plays they ALLOW you to see in OPEN practice is not what they will be run in a live game against a defense they will actually GAMEPLAN against TB..wake up this is one series they ALLOWED you to view. closed practices have the real stuff

without Zack

Feels weird to disagree with you, but I couldn't disagree more with anyone who attempts to make the case that s/he has the omniscience/insight to know anything about whether any position coach is doing his job well.

Ever. No, seriously.

What intel do we have? We have no cameras or mics, whether on the field or in the position room. We have zero insight into what any given coach is doing right or doing wrong, but rather, only insight into whether a given player is improving. And if he's not improving, we have no insight into why that is... is it coaching, or is it the player... if the player, is it physical ability or is it intelligence or is it maturity or is it instincts.

We're fans. We get to criticize. But on something like this, we're smart to understand the boundaries of what is plausible to criticize.

McC today gave gravity to the suggestion that you should anticipate the Oline is going to take a number of practices to catch up to the Dline. He's clearly not concerned, at least not yet.

And btw.... for a few days there, it seemed that Josh Ball was everyone's darling... and in the space of a single day, that's totally flipped. Hmmm.

Who is Martin’s backup?

How much are Martin and Tyron playing?

And I really want to spell Tyron’s name as if he were a Lannister.

So what as Dak is a top 10 Franchise QB and will adjust and bring home those wins baby!!!

Who knows.... but there has never been a quarterback, franchise or not who's brought home wins by himself. That's why the rest of the team practices and travels with him.

They say Aaron Rodgers is arguably the best QB ever.... and even he can't "bring home those wins baby" by himself. He has the same amount of Superbowl wins as Trent Dilpher, Nick Foles and Mark Rypien.

So if Rodgers, arguably the greatest to have ever done it can't do it by himself, then "self wins" don't apply to Dak and any other quarterback in NFL history. I know this hurts your football IQ credibility, so I'll apologize in advance.
