Dak:
Top 10 QB entering the season (and certainly paid like one), or top 13 if you hate him, or below top 13 if you hate him and if you’ve had a lobotomy.

Played like crap in Week 1, then got hurt.

Rush:
How many backup QBs get 5 years on the same team and in the same system? Rush is living proof that hard work and continuity pays off.

I love his command of the offense and his willingness to throw deep if the matchup dictates it.

He’s fairly risk-averse and accurate enough.

He’s taken 2 total sacks in his 3 starts, and has ZERO TURNOVERS this season (to be fair, he might’ve gotten a tad lucky that his 2 INTs today were called back).

He plays the game as if it’s easy, or at least he’s making it look that way.

Don’t turn it over, don’t take sacks, take what the defense gives you, throw deep when it’s single coverage. Simple.

It helps having a defense and run game and when the penalties actually go our way for a change, but Rush is getting it done.

We have TWO QBs I believe in right now, and if we beat the Rams and Rush impresses again... Dak’s officially on notice. Play well or step aside!

Awesome problem to have. 3-1!

It should be raise your hand if you love every player that wears that star on the helmet. We win together and we lose together.

We love who is on the damn field trying to win a game for the Dallas Cowboys. All these popularity contest threads are weak as ****.

You couldn't have put this with all the other Cooper Rush threads???

That is not allowed here. You/we have to pick a side and fight to the bitter end defending that choice. Isn’t that why we have SM for these days? Love one and hate the other…..it is not possible to like both :muttley:
Lol. Yes, only arguing and name calling is allowed when the topic of the QB is brought up.

I have my hand raised. I'm rooting for both players to succeed. I'm also loving the idea we have 2 QBs on the roster than can run the offense effectively and win games. That's a great thing to have cuz on any given play a player can be out for the season or extended time.

Also, it helps the QBs because defences know that, if we lose one, then the other is deadly in other.ways. So, it can serve as extra protection for the QB.

Yep, our QB2 has kept the bar at a reasonable level for us to win games around our top Defense. ALL fans should revel in the fact that Dak has to step up and perform to keep his QB1 position....of course it's his job to lose and he will be given every chance, but we now have a viable alternative if it doesnt work out.

Either Dak elevates his game (to level's he previously achieved) or he sits.... his status isnt guaranteed and he's at a pivotal point in his career where, he sinks or swims.....I wonder how he takes the pressure? He needs to take this as a motivational kick up the @rse, if he does then Very Happy Days

Very much so, and, as with anyone else, he needs the competition.

We are stacked at qb. It is a nice position to be in. We are currently in a good place where both qbs can win in this league.

Yep. I have to admit Rush surprises me. Just a few weeks ago a lot of us thought the season was over. Some were mad that Dallas ignored the QB2 position. But as usual, Jerry lucks into yet another QB not expected to do much, do quite well.

Like I said when Dak first went down, every player on this team thought they had to step up their game for us to win. Every player wanted to do everything right. But it's not just the players, the coaches had to be better too. So Dak's injury is a blessing in disguise, because now these guys know what they are capable of.

Yes, I like Dak and I like what Rush has done. But most of all, I like how this team has come together. Everyone is trying to be mistake free and more aggressive at the same time. So far so good, both players and coaches have been getting it done. Kudos to everyone involved. Because Dak wasn't the only guy that was down during our win streak. Now when Dak comes back hopefully all of these guys keep doing what they've been doing, because it's been working.

GO COWBOYS!!!!!
