He'll be lying in a bed in a multi million dollar home thanks to his successful football career.

Not intending to be cruel in saying what I did. Beasley wanted to return to the 'Boys and got rejected.

He gave them just cause. I wish him well. Sometimes, it's best to choose one's words well. He didn't.

Just think Dallas had to beg him 11 years ago not to quit TC.

One yr it came down to money and the Cowboys either kept Beasley or a player who wore # 17 a WR who also was a good punt return man . Well they kept Beasley and the 17 signed as a FA with the Giants . Can’t remember his name .

I thought the Cowboys picked the wrong receiver but turns out they were right the other player never did too much as a Giant. Always liked Cole he got the most of his talents.

Dwayne Harris? Yea, was the correct decision at the time.

Only reason he signed with the Bucs was chasing a championship. After a couple weeks he realized they aren’t winning anything this season.

I think probably that plus the hurricane. Also I remember it being tough to learn Brady’s style where you have to read the defense and be on the same page but how can you do that if Brady only practices twice a week. Add in a new playbook and injuries over the years and it’s not worth it.

only reason he signed with the bucs was because they were the only team to come calling after they lost practically every wr they had. after a couple of weeks everyone returned and he wasn't needed after his sterling 4 receptions for 17 yards.

Yep, he was fixing to get released off the active roster so better to announce you are retiring than being told to empty out your locker and security escorts you to the door.

But dont feel too bad for Bees, he made over $40 mill in his NFL career so his family and even future family (grandkids, great grandkids) are set for life.

I get it but why waste the effort that team committed you to.

What a weak move by Cole. I'm a fan, supported him when he quit the first time in training camp and came back. He was good for us for years. Noted. Appreciated.

That said, you don't quit in the middle of a season like that. Kindof a bullsh#t move IMHO.

11 years? Time flies. Remember he was going to quit first training camp. Now he and his kids are set for life.
Beasley actually did quit; he left the Cowboys training camp and went back home.
IIRC..his father - with the help of then HC Garrett - persuaded him to go back.

I wouldn't count them out. The struggles have had a lot to do with their top WR's missing a lot of time so far with a suspension and some injuries. Now Evans suspension is past, Godwin is healthy and Gage is getting enGAGEd with the offense.

Of course, the only reason the Bucs were interested in Beasley was because of these issues. At this point it seems doubtful Beasley would get much playing time anyway, and he may have even been on the verge of being released. I expect that had something to do with his decision.

While true, not sure the interior of that offensive line isn't getting fixed anytime soon. And that was just as big of a concern as the WRs. Brady, like most QBs, doesn't like pressure in his face and losing 2 guards and a center from last year sure isn't helping. I am not counting them out, but its won't be the same team even with the WR trio back if they can't block consistently.

It is one of the things they are talking about daily down here on sports talk radio.

Wish him well. He is a bit of a knucklehead, but he played hard. No one could ever cover him as he was cat quick with good hands. If he had been about 2 or 3 inches taller he probably would have been better then good.

LOL. That's because nobody wanted him any longer. Karma got him for tossing Dallas players & Jerry under the bus when he was released. He thought he was all that in Buffalo & they too released him. Touche'
uh uh its doing it for...his family...lol
