Healthy to make mistakes, pay for them, and grow as a person.

Says a lot about a person willing to admit/correct them.

Not to the haters it doesn't, they all lead perfect lives and have never made a mistakes, so they've never needed to apologize.

They got the paddles ready and I waved them off when I started thinking about getting our Draft pick back next year.

So it got me twice.

from one criminal to the next

this team is going to ****

thanks jerruh

who are all these criminals? the (2) that are questionable are tank, and he's not bleeped a bit since coming here and is doing all he can to make amends.

damn that criminal.

then pacman. yes, this is a risk and one side of that risk is negative PR.

but again people overexaggurate the stance and suddenly all the GOOD UPSTANDING PEOPLE on the team are forgotten and we're suddenly a team of criminals.

i'll never get how some people let 1 person ruin everything when it hasn't even happened yet. then if it does happen there are no more chances - he's gone and the problem is solved in very short order.

but vent away and ignore the all the good people on this team for 1 "potentially" bad one.

This should be the first time in a very long time that the oppositions 4-5 wide sets don't scare the crap out of me. :D

There was a guy who "made it rain" at a club I went to recently...and nobody picked up the money.

Granted I wasn't at a strip club or anything, but it was funny, cuz dude was hype and just tossing money around. Folks looked at him like he was crazy.

I agree, even three wide was a potential nightmare last season. I am confident he will play this year. I just can't wait till we get to see it.

Another strike for Pacman

May 19, 2008 12:00 PM

Posted by ESPN.com's Matt Mosley

If NFL commissioner Roger Goodell refuses to reinstate Cowboys cornerback Pacman Jones, he may have to switch sports. Last night at a charity event hosted by Pro Bowl tight end Jason Witten, Pacman bowled the top score of 189.

Reporters on the scene knew something was up when Pacman showed up with his own bowling ball. As reported by The Dallas Morning News, Pacman "stayed close" to new teammate Tank Johnson for most of the evening, which had to be comforting to guests.Pacman Jones

Pacman, who usually releases news through Michael Irvin's radio show, told reporters that he is seeking permission from Goodell to join the Cowboys' player development program and participate in the organized team activities, which begin Tuesday morning. Under the terms of his current suspension, Jones isn't allowed to visit the club's facility.

"Hopefully I can get around my new teammates and start doing OTAs and working out with them," Jones said Sunday at Score Foundation All-Star Bowl 2008. "I still have to go through the process, and I'm just waiting. I'm ready to get in there and learn the defense. And I've been out of the game for a year, so I need to shake off all the rust to get ready to play."

I just hung up the phone with Pacman's Atlanta-based agent, Manny Arora, who seemed a bit surprised by his client's comments.

"Any action we take in regards to reinstatement, whenever that happens, will be done privately with the NFL and the Dallas Cowboys."

From what I know about the situation, it wouldn't surprise me if the commissioner allowed Jones to enter the Cowboys' player development program. The last thing you want is this kid roaming around Dallas with too much time on his hands.

That said, I don't think the commissioner will feel compelled to allow Pacman to participate in OTAs or minicamps. That would be a clear sign that he's preparing to reinstate the player, and I don't think he's arrived at that decision.

I went to a club about three weeks ago and some dudes were making it rain. The money was being picked up though. Dub, you don't have to lie about being at a strip club/working at a strip club either. We will not judge you.

The question I posed Pacman Jones was simple -- Why should people believe that you can be trusted? His answer ...

"I'm on my last straw, plain and simple,"
Jones said. "There's nothing else. If I mess up, it is what it is. I know that. The group of people I have around me knows that. Jerry knows that, and I looked him in his eyes and told him I won't let him down, and that's the main reason I think I'm here."

Music to my ears. This is a very very good answer to a difficult question. Is it the obvious answer? Of course. But its not the one he had to give. And the fact that he did give it shows me his head is in the right place.

I think some of you guys still not on board with this move are undervaluing Jones' talent.

By the end of his 2nd season, their was no doubt he deserved to be a top 10 pick and a 2006 probowl participant.
Pacman is a franchise type player. His coverage skills and open field running skills are 2nd to none.

The layoff concerns me a little, but only in the short term. He might not be the same guy day one. But its just a matter of time, before he takes the starting RCB spot.

Think of all the great defenses this franchise has fielded over the years. Newman and Jones could be its best CB pairing.

I think Tank's precense will REALLY help Jones. Johnson seems like a guy who truly figured it all out while he was suspended and can help the kid along. Sometimes the best mentors for troubled people are the ones who you can relate to and have gone through similar types of turmoil.
