When he's healthy enough, he'll get lots of chances to play and then he can finally make his mark. Given the health problems both Miles & Dez have shown in last 2 years, we need Coale along with Otree, Beasely, Harris, etc. to get hot & produce big time.

Practice-squad salaries have counted against the salary cap since there has been a salary cap. There was no salary cap in 2010, so, of course, practice-squad salaries didn't count against the nonexistent cap that year. Other than that, they have.

There evidently was a salary cap in 2010.

Will Coale be paid as a 5th rounder or as a PS player? When a player comes off PS to Active what is their salary structure?

For Coale sake, this is not Penn State........he will not be asked to bend over

They can pay him whatever they want. My guess is that he's going to be paid whatever contact he signed when he was drafted. I doubt they cut his pay.

The only thing is that contract is null and void since they waived him.

We'll have to wait to hear what Adam has to say about this one.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is earning more than the minimum to entice him to stay here. I also wouldn't be surprised if he is getting his rookie salary.

I imagine they would pay him with a check. They may also have direct deposit that he can sign up for.

Which is why the NFL is being sued, because there wasn't supposed to be one.

This.

Once he is waived and clears waivers, the old contract would no longer exist.

I assume he would sign a new contract with the team for PS and likely would get rookie minimum when moved up.

Guessing as a later round pick his base salary wasn't much more than the rookie minimum anyway only thing is he would have got a little bit of signing bonus.

Whatever guarantees were established in his rookie contract signed and agreed to beforeduring training camp he would get paid.

Signing bonus, whatever worout bonuses, etc. Now any start of season bonuses for making the roster and/or game day play will be voided since he did not hit that bench mark.

There may be a practice squad bonus set up contractually though. Practice squad pay would be established as well as game day pay/ injury guarantess now that he is on the practice squad.

Ronald Leary made over 200K in guarantees once he signed on to enter training camp. He will also now have to wor out new financial practce squad ramifications. But his rookie contract guarantees are to be paid in the increments already contractually agreed upon.

Yes.

Danny Coale cleared waivers and was signed to the 'Boys PS on Saturday, once the waiver deadline passed.
