And it's a ridiculous knock. DeMarcus Ware has a HUGE impact on the game on a week in week out basis. Sure he may not always get sacks, but he's consistently getting pressure. There's a reason he was the second fastest player in NFL history to get over 100 sacks behind only the late great Reggie White.

Teams always have to double/triple team and he still gets pressure. Anyone who knows football knows DeMarcus Ware is a great, great football player. One of the best in the league if not the best. He can do it all. Get you 15-20 sacks a season, but he can also stop the run with the best of them and even drop back in coverage and get the job done.

He got 2 against the Giants on Wednesday.

Will he get 3 against a bad Seattle Seahawks offensive line?

I'd love to watch DeMarcus Ware break the sack record AND get a ring in the same season.
Which would almost assuredly lead to an overdue DPOY award.

Seattle's starting LT may miss the game too. But with some double teams, and a TE or RB chipping in, and a mobile QB. He may only get 1 or 2. Which is fine. Especially if at a key moment.

Thinking he may get 3 sacks isn't out of the question, but may be more wishful thinking. But will be cool if he does.

If he does get 3 sacks, he'll still be second in the league behind Matthews.

I believe that Garrett rests his vets for any medical reason whatever; it's a smart move. There's no reason for Ware to participate in every practice throughout the season. It's no like he needs more practice or he's a goof off or something like that.

I also believe he'd be cautious for even the younger guys. If Lee had a very minor injury why force him onto the field. Realize some would say to toughen them up but in this day and age these players are very valuable & we don't have a lot of quality depth at too many places. Besides Lee (and Ware) and others are more then tough to face anybody including the Steelers, etc.

Something tells me Russell Wilson is slippery and hard to bring down because of his size and speed. I don't know about 3 this game. I hope he does though.

Why stop at 5? Ware could have 6, 7 or 8 after the Seattle game. Or he could have 2. I just want the win, Ware will get his double digit sacks like he does every year.

Hmmmm...

Who cares. I don't get the fascination with stat totals. They mean so little in the end.

I would rather he had no sacks and consistent pressure than 3 sacks and otherwise be invisible. That's been the picky knock on Ware.

Ware leads the Nfl in QB pressures since 2006. If he doesnt get consistent pressure than nobody does.

Yea Matthews has 6 already, he looks like a wild man out there.

Must be nice to face Jeff Backus and whatever spare left tackle the Bears perennially put out there for 25% of your regular season contests.

Yeah, if you're a nimrod.

DeMarcus Ware: the only player in NFL history who was the 2nd fastest to 100 sacks all the while being "invisible."

...put up a post showing a screenshot of a stat summary for Ware.

If one digest those stats and drills dp\own into what they really say it becomes apparent quickly that Demarcus is much more than just invisible.

It's funny how we fans tend to pick on certain players who have the notariety and the big contracts, but we forget the role the team and team execution plays in the result of the game.

As fans of the ultimate team sport we sure fixate on superstars alot both positively and negatively.

Who cares how many sacks Demarcus gets if the Cowboys win. We can all be assured he will contribute and help make a difference.
