There was a TE from Rutgers taken ahead of him too.

I actually watched Witten in College and I supported the pick when so many others were upset we didnt pick Lee Suggs.

Excellent drive by Tanney. I wasn't impressed by him the last couple of preseason game but this was an excellent series.

Tanney really is a very accurate short/intermediate passer.....looked better than any QB on the Raider roster :)

Given what I've seen out of Tanney I'd like to keep 3 quarterbacks. I'm not certain another team doesn't scoop him up if we try and sneak him onto the practice squad.

His 10-10 100 yards and a TD against 3rd team defenders still feels a lot better than Orton's 2 INTs. I'm not saying you cut Orton...yet, but Tanney sure is making a push for at least a 3rd QB position. I know, I know...where do we go short to keep him? IDK but it's going to make decisions tough.
