I remember last year, that I had mentioned Cowboys would be better off playing the 4-3, but several guys told me, I was wrong. Cowboys needed to stay in the 3-4 defense, now what do you say?

Personally, I feel that if you can't name the exact folks who said it, then this thread is misguided, and unnecessary chest thumping. A board call out is much less effective than a member call out...with proof of said quotes.

For the record, I still believe the 3-4 is a superior scheme. I always will. Especially after a 500 yards/30 point performance from your 4-3 defense where you happen to strip the football away to win.

"Where you happen to strip the football away"? That's a pretty crucial element of our defense and the OP's argument that you can't just dismiss away.

We had those kind of games as a 34 too

It was one game. The turnovers are nice, but the Giants were in the giving mood last night. Wait until teams get some footage of the gaping maw that is our safety position.

I know of a few woodygirl that said I was wrong, but I don't like to call out names, but to make my point, yes, I am glad we moved to the 4-3. Just think when spencer gets back, and then Ratliff, our pass rush, and defense will be even better.

Granted, we hate call outs. But at least it's better if you, at least provided a quote or something. At this point, it's just backpatting for something that only you recall was ever said by you or these unnamed people.

Right. Like the Giants don't score 30 routinely playing us even in the 3-4. Go back and look at the scores the last few years.

Joe it would be a legit call out and you would be on top of the hills yelling look at me like a boss.

However there was a time during the game where the cameras caught Rowdy and it appeared as if he was twerking.

Since that happened your point is now moot.

I am sorry, but ya gotta blame rowdy...he was the twerker that ruined this epic mountain top call out of yours.

:p

Giving up 450 yards passing is not a very resounding reinforcment that the right move was made.

There is a large probability that one a message board site concerning football or any other sport or religion or politics someone will find fault in something you say.

From my point of view the team still showed a remarkable lack of skill in defending the pass. Basically because this team is built with corner backs and not pressure on the opposing quarterback.

Regardless if it is the 4-3 or the 3-4, this will continue until the defensive line is constructed to disrupt the passing game at the point of release instead of the point of catch.

Oh, the Giants were in a 'giving mood'. Give us a break. The Cowboys created those turnovers. Any spin for a negative view, huh?! And while S is a problem still it was more on the CBs and the scheme we gave up most of the passing yardage. While it's still a problem you could at least point your finger in the right direction.

I didn't say that I liked one better than the other, but I did make and grill some bacon wrapped jalapeno shrimp yesterday while we were tailgating, so there's that.

You're right. It's a problem and one many worried about when we first heard Tampa 2. I don't know what Kiffin will do but we have to have more physical play from our CBs as well as taking away the slant in appropriately. But it's not just that simple. I haven't looked at the coaches film but I can almost promise you the DL was getting held more than the usual NFL game last nite. I'm not making excuses merely pointing that out. Hopefully that will not continue.
