Why don't we trade Beasley?

I am a huge Beasley fan, but I just don't get the point of carrying him on the roster if we aren't going to ever use him.

Especially now with Dunbar and Spencer and Waters being activated.

Lets either use him, or get some value for him. I think we could get a 6th rounder

I don't think we should. Romo has a connection with him and that's important. I think we just have to find a way to get him active on game day.

never figured out why fans are opposed to having quality depth. and to think aboout trading that depth for a 6th rnd pick next year is even more out there. if you were getting something that could help you now like maybe another cb , then i could maybe understand the argument but for a future 6th is not even worth a thought

I don't know. We got 15 games to go and injuries happen why would I want to take an area of strength and weaken it at this stage? I'm sure at some point Beasley will get called on

more than 50 % of our snaps are 2 or 3 TE sets and we were reasonably successful in it and will get better.Mccray,spencer and waters will all play and i wont be surprised if Beasley is not active again.

At this point the depth he provides is greater value than whatever pick they can get in return. And I don't think they could get a 6th for him. Maybe a 7th. He will be used at some point this season, so there should be no rush to try and get so called value from him in a trade.

They already got more late round picks coming. Why give up a receiver for another one now and lose depth? When/if Miles or Dez go down for a bit, he will be playing. He can't go to ST to take over for Harris. Heck, I don't even know if he has 6th rd value yet.

Well if your looking for depth and special teams, why not just sign Armstrong back?

I hate how their using Beasley. Activate him!!

Because they like having Beasley on the team as part of their depth? As for how they are using him? they are paying him and he practice with the team and will likely see some playing time at some point. If they like Armstrong better than Beasley then they would have kept him instead of Beasley

WR's are about the most worthless commodity out there when it comes to trade value... Except if Jerry is salivating for them... then they're worth a whole lot.

Just as Hanna and Andre Smith were used so much in the te sets. Hanna had zero receptions as a starter, same as Beasley not playing.

To do what?

Harris returns punts, covers kicks and punts, and works in the offense. He PLAYS in the game. If Williams is going to be active, which he always is, then what is there for Beasley to do? He can't do anything other than play receiver, and he's the fifth receiver.

If you don't play more than 3-4 plays, you're wasting the active roster spot. Only the backup quarterback can do that.

Might as well get some value for a guy they don't plan on using. Sunday night would have been the game for him to play.

Austin is one of, if not the, best slot receivers in the game. Beasley can't play on the outside.

He's a one-trick pony that plays zero special teams. He's useless unless both Austin and Harris get hurt.

I would take a sixth for him in a heartbeat and go find a usable player.

They are getting Cole ready for when Miles Austin is gone from the team so he can take over the Slot.

Dez goes down. Miles has to move out of the slot to take his position. Who is playing the slot for us in your hypothetical trade scenario? The nearly worthless 2015 seventh rounder we just got for a guy who has 15 career receptions?
