Let's revisit some predictions Zone posters made before the season

Just to put things in perspective at 6-2, here are some predictions made by Zone posters before the season began (Usernames removed):

I have a hard time betting against 8-8

I'm right there at 8-8 with a possible 9-7 if they had a couple of lucky breaks go their way. I can't see any better than that.

I see 5 wins right now.

I'd take the under at 5.5. This team is going to be really bad.

I think the D has a chance to be even worse than last season. If it is, I would be shocked if we won more than 6 games.

I have the eagles and giants both finishing 8-8. Cowboys at 7-9 and wash at 6-10.

7-9 with Romo and 4-12 without him.

I think we go 7-9

I may change my mind over the next 3 weeks but as of now I got us at 6-10.

I think they reside in the basement of the NFC East in 2014.

Under. This looks like 5-11 to me. I would like to think eight wins if Tony's back is good to go and injuries aren't sustained by impact performers, but this is football.

I just see no way they get over 7 wins even with romo playing all season.

Offense will need to average 30 per game for us to even go 8-8.

I see like 2-6 as our record the first half of the season. That is going to force Garrett's removal and then what?

I predicted 9-7 and 10-6. I'm going to be wrong. 12-4 seems about right.

I predicted 8-8 at best. In fact I think the post that said 9-7 if we get a lucky break or two was actually my post.

I have no shame in admitting prior to the season that I didn't see a ball club better than .500

I'm happy to have been wrong.

I guess if I'm really unlucky I could still be right if this team falls apart but I don't see that happening.

With the exception of the 3 or 4 ppl who predicted 5 wins, all others are still a possibility. Am I missing something or what was the point of this thread?

I don't think I went on record, but I thought 9-7 was do-able, maaayybe 10-6 with some breaks.

I said 8-8 and it looks like my prediction is dead on.

We are two plays from being 4-4, and that's where I believe we are. Throw away the bomb to Dez in OT against the Texans and the 3rd and 20 to Williams ... and this team would be sitting at 4-4.

The hype machine is ridiculous. Playoffs, Super Bowl ... all nonsense. Pro Bowl OL ... played like HS kids yesterday. The Skins made us look like a bunch of baffoons. We lost to a 3rd string QB !!!

I'm not ticked off, I just wish I went to bed earlier. I'm exhausted.

So since the entire NFL media, experts and fans alike picked the Cowboys to struggle 2 months ago, it should make it easier to accept a tough loss? So let's lose the next 4 then. We'd still be on pace for a better than expected season.

I always hate these types of approaches. Stuff changes. Yes we would all be happy with 6-2 before the season but at this point, not being 7-1 is disappointing. Especially playing a poor Skins team at home.

Not only that we lost but the way we lost. The offense reverted back to being pass happy when it was clear we should run the ball. The defensive weaknesses are also rearing their head.
