Why Cowboys Ezekiel Elliott will not win league MVP

http://thelandryhat.com/2017/01/01/cowboys-elliott-will-not-win-league-mvp/

...Elliott will win the NFL rushing title as he currently leads that category by almost 400 yards of the next guy behind him. He is third in overall touchdowns and needs just 178 yards to break the all-time rookie rushing record.

Not only is Elliott one of the biggest reasons why the Dallas Cowboys are tied for the best record in football, his personality is equally large.

You know about the cropped shirts, the infectious smile and the ultra-fun dance moves whenever he scores. His locker room hijinks are both entertaining and endearing. You may not know about his affection for children and dogs and all the charitable work he does on both fronts.

Everything about Ezekiel Elliott says Most Valuable Player.

If it comes into fruition, he would be the first rookie to earn MVP honors since Jim Brown in 1957.

Just do not expect him to win the actual award...

I think this is a simple question that's not worth its own article. He's a RB. I believe we are past the days where a QB cannot win the MVP. Passing is just too easy in today's NFL and with a good QB they make such a substantial difference that a QB will always win it.

It's not because he's not worthy of the award. The truth is haters gonna hate.

I don't care about the regular season MVP award. As someone else mentioned, Super Bowl MVP would make me very happy.

Interesting debate. What the record be with Dak and McFadden/Morris? What would it be with Romo and Zeke?
Here we go, hypothetical. 2014, ya'll remember that year you guys like to keep going back to. We were 12-4 with all the super stars healthy and a running back who produced 1845, currently our rb had produced 1631, with a QB who may surpass the 3705 mark that Romo had. Most Cowboys fans wanted Romo to win MVP that year. Not one soul mentioned that Murray, who had more yards than Zeke was the MVP.

Now all of a sudden, Zeke is the key. STHU.

Many people thought Murray should win it. You're not being intellectually honest.

Having said that Zeke hasn't even been the best running back in football yet alone the most valuable player in football.

Both Johnson and Bell have had better seasons.

What is this kidding? One just can hand cuff a specific game's results to all others that follow...The Cowboys grew with Tom Landry, and apparently with Jason Garrett as well.

Nah... in 2014, Romo got screwed EXACTLY the same way Dak is getting screwed now. Cowboys hatred/bias is very real.

Make our RB a "candidate" to win this QB award and boom - neither our QB or RB will stand a chance.

29 total TD, 4 INT and a 13-2 record for a team that went 1-11 without Tony Romo last season.

Dak Prescott: the real NFL MVP.

Defenses are so scared of Zeke that we went almost a full season without our QB doing a drop back pass under center.

Zeke is the MVP.. He opens up the whole field for everyone.

OL does that more than anything.

EE- 322 touches, 1631 yards
ED- 390 touches, 1808 yards

With 68 more touches just think what EE would have accomplished...probably close to 2000 yards. He never had a chance to break the record because they didn't use him enough. They actually kept him from breaking the record. Elliot needs to be fed the ball...he is a "punching bag" and has never been injured, ala
Emmitt Smith, and there was nothing to indicate he'd be hurt if you really played him these final to games. Heck, in Ohio States (3) final games he played with a broken left wrist. Kid is as tough as nails and gets better as the game goes on.

As far as the offensive line goes, yes, a good offensive line is important, but EE has 923 yards after contact... 923 YARDS. that's unbelievable, and an important stat. He's always falling forward, and he runs with an insane attitude.

He's the real deal....

@ Toruk_Maktu- Why are you so envious of EE? Your posts make no sense at all. but I suppose anyone who still advocates Jalen Ramsey as being the better pick can't be expected to have rational opinions.
