He never had a chance to break the record because they didn't use him enough. They actually kept him from breaking the record. Elliot needs to be fed the ball...he is a "punching bag"

So the Cowboys should put additional wear and tear on EE just to break some record?

Who cares about ED's record. The Cowboys have bigger goals.

Don't tell me that a 34 year record isn't important to him and a lot of people, even though it might not be to you. 68 more carries is a lot of carries, and even 25-30 more would have been sufficient. That's nothing for a back like EE. Anyway, play the game and quit being wussies. 2-3 weeks of doing nothing can be just as bad sometimes as being active and playing the game.
