The issue for a lot of that it is timed, not the difficulty of the question

God yes I remember this.
I think we have really for the first time in a long while, got our scouting department humming. From McClay on down (He is the facilitator that molds it all together) - and these last couple of drafts really show it. Now, some scouts may come and go, but Jerry and Co. really need to make a concerted effort to keep this group intact. Including especially McClay, keep that man happy !
As to Claiborne, I remember it the same way. The scouting department did not due their due diligence as they thought he would be long gone. FAIL.
And then after the draft and his wonderlic came out, I remember Claiborne's excuse was that his people told him it did not matter so he did not take it seriously. Now, knowing what we know now, that just goes' to his elitist college mentality (if, in fact that is true and he is not just dumb as rocks) as why would it not matter ?
I feel really good about how the scouting dept. and the F.O. and coaches are all working together, the continuity of all 3 department's really benefit the Cowboys right now.

I don't think we can compare this year's draft to the epic one of 2016, but I'm excited to see what these young players can do.

There are obviously plenty of reasons to be excited for the last two draft classes. Clearly the Cowboys front office deserves a ton of credit. McClay, Jason, Stephen and the rest really know what they are doing.

Having said that here is something to consider:

The Cowboys have 10 draft picks next year.

Great post...I was pretty confident we'd draft a LB this year. The fact we didn't shows that they are pretty confident Jaylon is ready to roll.
