Ok guys, completely hypothetical, play along..

What would the NFL do if Cowboys took a major stance and decided to "hold out" as a team? Owners, coaches, players,everyone, complete unity. They all just decide not to show up at game time? Discuss impacts on all sides.

I for one think it would be awesome. Money talks. How much money would the NFL lose if Jerry and Company decided to take part in the biggest protest in sports history?

dont need. just dak/dez/jaylon/lee should go on a sabbatical and jerry can pay them under the table.

There are a thousand more subtle things they could actually do.

Jerry could do a national interview and blast Goodell and vow to have him fired.

The league would lose nothing. The TV contracts are in place. Jerry would lose hundreds of millions.

Believe it or not, any action that hurts the NFL, including revenue, could lead to a vote by owners and Jerry could be forced to sell the team. Most fans don't get that owners cannot do whatever they want; they also signed a contract and must abide by it.

I think it could even allow the other owners to force him to sell the team.

There are clauses in their franchise agreements that prevent this sort of thing.

Jerry cannot stop Dak/Dez and a couple others from taking a sabbatical.
