DLaw is playing well...yes, we always want MOORE (and we get that this week)...the DT's have been playing well for the most part...Irving back for GB....Hitch getting healthy, Lewis playing....the D is getting there...they sure could use MORE from the Oline and offense this week to spell them

a little ball control and the D will be rested...go get 'em 'boyz

I'm excited by what this DL could become by midseason. Irving, Tank, Maliek, and Paea could be a very formidable starting unit with nice depth behind them.

There are a lot of questions on the DL but also an equal amount of possible answers.

Youth and upside are abundant.

Stephen Paea, at age 29, is the oldest player on the entire line, with Tyrone Crawford next at age 27.

But Paea has a balky knee that has been problematic since OTAs in the off-season. He missed all three days of practice this week but is expected to play tomorrow night.

How bad was Cedric Thornton playing to make the team dump him?

I hope they are right on his replacement, Brian Price. He needs to be ready.

We are a little light at DT. I never liked the Thornton fit here and although I do believe Price has some upside, he is very raw, so what that means for the short term is hard to tell. It's nice to have Crawford as an ace in the hole at that spot.

I think we are loaded at DE. As soon as Irving gets back there are a lot of mix and match options there. I think both Irving and Tank are above average starting DEs.now that have a chance to be much more going forward. I'm encouraged.

I hope David Irving becomes more consistent and picks up where he left off at the end of last season.

He can become a monster.

It'll be interesting to see who becomes a healthy scratch at DE tomorrow night and going forward when Irv is back in the fold.

Good 'problem' to have.

Is Irving even good? Specifically, did PEDs help him flash, and now that's he off of them is he any good?

He has been inconsistent in the last 2-3 years with the Cowboys

He didn't take PED's. Who took a supplement that had banned substances in it from what I recall.

Irving had a really bad PS however IMO.

I'm looking forward to seeing Damontre Moore. The year he had 5.5 sacks I think he played less than 300 snaps and the next year he had like 4.0 sacks in 285 snaps? He is in some ways like Mayowa in that his sack totals are very good considering his limited snaps. His body type looks like he'd be a better run defender than Mayowa, as well. D-Law + a Mayowa/Moore duo could be a respectable DE combo?

Lets see what will happen. Its the same ol "this is the next best thing since the last best thing and the last best validated thing had to leave to become a winner" So we ll see if DLaw is a player or just another hyped up JAG. Nothing written beforehand will become fact. The talking heads do not get down to realism.
