See that there is the problem you don't even acknowledge why this started in the first place. Yes systematic racism, yet you can sit there and not even acknowledge that. I didn't make it about race, it's how this all started.

Now you're going to question my respect or love for this country? Both my grandfathers fought in this country. 2 of my uncles are cops in this country. I love this country and all the right afforded to me under the consitution.

Unfortunately, todays nation has turned into mob mentality and everyone is on the defensive. It is the Left(snowflakes) vs the Right(racists). It is very difficult to have an honest conversation in fear of getting attacked. I try and do talk with others a lot and listen to their side.

I am a Republican and proud of it. I voted for Trump freely admitting it. I realize the guy is/can be a buffoon and devisive. I voted for his proposed policy which I agree with most. He can tweet for all I care, just get done what he promised.

If 2020 rolls around and no legislation has gotten through, I will sorely disappointed in this presidency. The potential is there to make good things happen for our country but he has to change his tune sooner than later. Sometimes speaking ones mind is not a good thing. He needs to shut up and get to work. If that happens, the Democrats need to pitch in as well and help the American people......white, black, brown, green, whoever.

It is time to stop being partisan, roll up the sleeves and get dirty. Start with tax reform

What I just typed is me trying to have an open discussion. Lets see how I get attacked..... :laugh:

Check out my thread about the combat veteran who resign from Singing the national anthem for the Ravens. This whole thing is just so messed up. I made a vow to be more open minded and I won't engage people like the one above who assumed I don't respect my country

@CowboyStar88 - how about this. Let's keep all political/opinions away from the national anthem before a game. In fact, just eliminate the national anthem before the game or make players sit in the locker room until it's over. Is that what you want because i'm not sure what is going to to happen next Sunday or the next. Kapernick started this crap.
