This is the exact quote from Kapernick. "I'm not going to show pride for a flag in a country that oppresses black people and people of color".
Pretty clear what he is saying. "He is not showing pride for the flag". Beyond that, I don't care what his protest is about. It could be about martians. Get it off the field and out of the game. It's no different than hollywood actors. I don't give a crap about their political views. Just make a movie and I will pay to watch or I won't.
The fact is that he has used the flag for his personal protest. Honestly, I don't care what he has to say. It's irrelevant. Kapernick and all players who followed him are the same. It's not his field, his stadium, his platform to express his feelings using the flag in protest.
Having said that, what happens now with the Cowboys next Sunday. Do you support players who kneel for the flag knowing what the true meaning of what Kapernick has promoted. Or, if they kneel, are the players doing it in support of something else like free speech (which is ********) or what Trump said.
Regardless, the NFL game when I'm watching needs to be political free. Do your free speech/opinions in your own damn time and not on the sideline before the game. I just want to watch football peacefully to get my mind away from news and the political world.
