I will wait for FA is getting closer, to see who actually is available.
well before that I guess it would be interesting to see the list after the season, and then speculate who may resign with their current teams, like Poe. Then go from there.
not that I means anything, as the team won't go get them anyway.

That says it all, right there! These types of things are nice to think about but that's about as far as it goes. :(

Kid is 6'3", 220 and ran a 4.42 40. Good hands, runs good routes and tough as nails.

What's not to like?

The fact he's been in the league for 3 years and has 24 career catches?

Poe? Let's see, a 350 pound DL whose best season was 3 years ago showing declining production ever since.

Sure, let's throw a boatload of cash at him.

He's on a team friendly one year deal in Atlanta and he likely won't cost much more than that. You might not have to throw a boat load of cash at him.

He's played pretty decently for them too.

I'll gladly take Poe or Bennie Logan on a similar type deal they both got this past season.

Oh, so Aaron Rodgers hasn't played QB for the Packers at any point the last three years?

Jeff Janis. LOL.

In case you hadn't noticed, Green Bay has a good WR corps, man. Janis is in depth chart hell.

Who pissed in your Cheerios?

No one.

But Jeff Janis isn't the answer to questions we may have with our WRs and certainly wouldn't help "exponentially".

Poe, on the otherhand, would be a big help IMO.

Give me Justin Ellis, 1Tech, Oakland Raiders (6-2/335, age 26) and Kenny Vaccaro, safety, New Orleans Saints (6-0/214, age 26) in free agency, plus some help in the draft, and this defense will be ready to go.

Randy Gregory would be icing on the cake.
I loathe anyone wanting Kenny vaccaro

He is better than anything we have at safety.

He was up and down these past few years in New Orleans but his play really started to rise this year, right after the trade rumors, as well as coinciding with the Saints playing well.

TBH Janis coming in to replace Butler/push Brown I think could be a decent move.

However, I think this team gets way too comfortable with players that should be upgraded.

He’s trash and has been since he got in the nfl. People wanted him because he played at Texas.

I could care less that he played at Texas. I am a ND fan so I really don't really care about Texas.

He'd be an upgrade on what we have. However, I suspect he's going to get paid this offseason based on the fact he's having a good year this year.

Make it happen, Mr. GM.

It would help this team exponentially, IMO.

Thoughts?
Janis got opportunities when other WRs have been injured. Nelson missed most of a season and Cobb hss had some injury issues.

Look at Allen Robinson instead. He was out injured this season but a couple of years ago he had 1400 yards and 14 YDs.

He’s not a good enough upgrade to change what we have. He just got benched last year. I don’t see many safety options in free agency that would be clear upgrades

Reid and Vaccaro are upgrades. Our S play is mediocre at best. Vaccaro is a starting S on a secondary that is ranked 5th in the league by Football Outsiders.
