Wow, Allen at #1?

Could understand passing on Darnold, but Rosen would be the #1 choice.

More Josh Allen hype. I just don't understand it.

I can't believe anyone who has watched him play can say he is even a sure fire 1st round QB, let alone the top pick overall.
Don’t get it but love it
I’d love 10 QB’s to go early

While I know Kiper knows nothing about teams intentions now, I find it interesting Seahawks takin James in this mock. Could a particular Seahawks safety who wants the cowboys to “come get him” be on the market this offseason?

I don't know why that turned Cowboys fans on. It turned me off. The guy's wearing another uniform and campaigning to play elsewhere. No thank you.

Much less pandering to the likes of Jason Garrett personally.

Then put him as one of those QBs that someone trades up into the first to get that fifth year.

He is nowhere close to where Wentz was as a prospect. Allen's best games as a collegiate came against the likes of Gardner-Webb. He had two 300 yard performances in three years. I don't know how you can sell him as being directly responsible for Wyoming winning the Mountain West when he missed the last 2 1/2 games and stunk it up in losses to Iowa, Oregon and Boise State.
Not disagreeing at all. I loved Wentz and he was my guy for Dallas at 4.

I don't want us to take Allen at 19 either.

This might be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard...geez. How have those mid/late rounds DT's been working out for us?

I have my eye on Poona Ford from the mid to late rounds. I'm biased of course but I would not look at him if I didn't think there are possibilities. We need more LUCK hitting on the later rounders. I know we have been decent but we could still use more luck.

Rosen
Darnold
Allen
Mayfield

But Mayfield is downgraded because of his head. Tell me he won't have any issues being a professional athlete and I might rank him #1.

I agree with this,he makes all the throws and is accurate but his antics should scare any team.

I'm starting to get the draft itch.

It'll turn into a full fledged rash if (when ~fingers crossed~) the Eagles get bounced out of the playoffs. Once that happens I can relax and focus on the offseason.
A jaxonville vs minn sb would be great for the old blood pressure, all good. A philly NE superbowl is my worst nightmare, being forced to root for tom brady is like being forced to eat poop

But it's a risk I'm willing to take. The thought of the Giants getting their guy and the Commanders potentially getting theirs, to go along with the prophecy in Philly while we're stuck with a guy who can't throw a skinny post Stephen King scares me.

I keep seeing people relating him to Manziel. I don't think his "antics" bother NFL types as much as people think.

It's a player I know I won't feel any differently about the day of the draft because I won't be privy to the interviews. I don't need to see his workouts. I've watched his entire career. I need to see how he handles himself and what he has to say to teams when they grill him. I'd either be all in or he'd get taken off the board based on that.

Given up on Dak?
Yea

Really feel like we will have the worst QB in the division for years to come. I almost hope He plays, like he did for the last 8 games this season, all 16 games next season. Thats the only way I think theyll look to move on from him.

I don't like Allen either but comparing Wentz winning at NDSU where they were national champs before and after him to Allen sucking against legit D1 schools isn't really fair.

Wyoming was 8-5 in the Mountain West and made a bowl game.

Allen has everything but performance. He's the prototype body. He just hasn't performed well enough so someone will get a guy you gotta coach up and teach to play the position at a high level.
You'd like to think that doesnt cost you an R1 but QBs are so valuable.
Allen reminds me a lot of Paxton Lynch. A guy with all the physical tools but needs a lot of work.

Don't know if he will be the failure that Lynch has been so far, but his relatively low completion percentage in college is not a good sign.

I’m j

I’m just not all that impressed w/ Darnold.
I thought Darnold should have stayed in school. I know that when you projected to go possibly 1st overall, you need to strike while the irons hot. Just look at Matt Leinart.

But he was only a redshirt sophomore. He needs more playing time. He turns the ball over way too much for my liking. Could have used another year at USC.

I was thinking the same thing the only difference being there isn't a Wentz or Goff in this class to push Allen down the order.

I think Darnold should have definitely stayed in school. Whoever takes him needs to sit him for awhile.
