1 - Tremaine Edmunds - crossing my fingers this guy is on the board when we pick. His size, length and athleticism gives us an outstanding MLB for the future to pair with Jaylon. If both pan out we could have our own version of Willis/Bowman of the future.

2 - Armani Watts - one of the few safeties in the draft that can both cover and give you run support. Not elite in any area, but solid all around.

3 - Tim Settle - we got back to VT to give us an underrated 1T who can give us a big body to clog running lanes and push the pocket.

While I know I'm going all in on defense, I'd like to think that having Zeke all season and a healthy Smith and Bryant will get our offense back on track. Another year of progression for Dak shouldn't hurt either!

I am warming up to Edmunds since I highly doubt Roquan Smith will fall to us. Edmunds might not either. Love the Settle pick.

Great job on first 3 picks. Would like to see the rest of the draft to see how it pans out. Not what I would do but I would be happy with this as our defense looks much improved with those selections

Then all we need to do is hit a homerun on a mid round WR like Diggs and we're good!

The more I think about it, the more I like Edmunds for this defense. He's got the size to hammer inside, but his game is more like a Will which Rod Marinelli seems to crave.

Not a big Watts guy, and I'll have to go watch Settle.

I'd love Edmunds in the first.I'm hoping it's him or Hurst...and Im beginning to think Hurst will be gone by 19...and maybe Edmunds too.

I think in the 2nd Rd is where they go Offense...a WR or OL....unless they do that at 19....then this is where we go def....LB or DL.

3rd...I like Settle.Love to get him here...especially if we miss out on a DT at 19.

Could live with this.

Really think alot of you need to get this LB dream out of ur heads now rather then later. Dallas is going to go with Jaylen at the MIKE. He did look alot better at the end of the yr and i think come TC he is going to be a force. He's made huge progress from the start of the yr

"3 - Tim Settle - we got back to VT to give us an underrated 1T who can give us a big body to clog running lanes and push the pocket."

Richard Ash - 333 lbs.
Daniel Ross - 325 lbs.

We have the big bodies already on the roster. And we didn't even make the playoffs. Now are the two guys any good? Maybe not, but Settle has to be more than just a big body, what else does he bring to the table?

They are big but they aren't that talented. I think Settle gives you a lot more upside.

So long as he's not another "project" like Taco, if I read correctly he's coming out after his sophomore season, have to wonder about his maturity level and game experience. If he goes to the combine, I'd be very interested in how he does in the shuttle, Cowboys run a 4-3 which means he has to move to cover gaps and chase pulling guards, etc., he has to have good lateral moves and quickness for that.

But as usual I seriously doubt Marinelli will ask for a wide body tackle, and the Cowboys will probably continue to use Collins, Irving and Crawford in rotation anyway...

I think it all depends on what’s hitchens does. If we lose him, we will be very thin at LB even with Jaylon and Lee penciled in at starters. We know they both cannot be counted on to stay on the field so it’s definitely a position of weakness.

I like it cnub.
But if possible, I’d really like a starting quality OL in the 2nd.
1st and 3rd look very good if Vea not available at #19, which I don’t believe he will be

I agree with you
Our FO is just stupid enough to think we're set at DT, MLB and safety and then wonder why we don't make noise in the playoffs

Works for me!

Swap in Will Hernandez or Isaiah Wynn.

The team didnt invest the draft pick and the time to pay hitchens. I dont understand how fans of this team still doesnt realize how this team runs its team. Just how this team let leary and parnell walk, hitchens will be playing somewhere else too. Hitchens made some strides this yr but was still a liability against the run.

If you look at what this team has done on the D side of the ball its pretty encouraging. If they can just keep them from getting suspended for PED's and weed to start the yr they might just be a top D in the league. I think they need a 1tech but i know they arent going to spend money there. Especially on how much they rotate the DL. Theyre already gonna be paying Crawford and this yr Lawrence alot of money.

At MLB dallas has always found its LB'ers in the middle of the draft. Smith should be fine going forward, what they need is backup and depth at WILL and SAM.

And at S i really think the answer there is to do everything you can to get Earl Thomas. Theres no secret he has worn out his welcome in SEA. Calling out teammates going and talking with Garrett ect.

Appreciate your thoughtful post
We just see this differently
IMO defense is built up the middle with internal pressure on QB and stopping the run, therefore 1T DT, MLB and safety are not positions that should be manned by adequate players but by great players. I don't see a single great player at any of those positions
IMO, no matter what you do outside, if the QB can step up, team can run the ball and the middle is open for crossing routes, you can't have a great defense
