Romo to T.O. was a thing of beauty

More like 3.

He stunk the place up 2015, 2016 and 2017. Dude never sniffed 1,000 yards and had just about the worst catch rate on the team the whole time.
2015 he was hurt. Came back too soon and wasnt right. Hard to hold that against him when players get hurt all the time in this league.

2016 once again, he was hurt and missed 3 games. He had to get acclamated with a rookie QB who struggles with accuracy and throwing the routes Dez is asked to run. Still, put up 796 yards in 12 games and was on pace for 1k if he played a full season. He beasted in the WAS, Pit, Bal, GB, TB, PHI, and Min games. Watch these games and tell me he isnt still a #1

Like I said, 1 down year and dumb fans want him gone, but want to keep the inaccurate bum of a qb
This!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost forgot what a deep pass caught in stride looked like until I saw the Romo to TO highlights. Also, Romo's line was hot garbage back then and he was scrambling for dear life from the minute the ball was snapped. Like Romo said and Aikman both said when they did Cowboys games this season, good QB's throw their receivers open, you can't always expect 5 yards of separation.

The same scrub that was throwing him the ball this year. You know, the same year where all the WRs and TE numbers were down...

But the down year is solely on the QB and not the WR’s.

So the highly paid veteran WR has no responsibility in it.

Gotcha.

T.O. never played with an average to poor passer, Garcia, Young, McNabb, and Romo were all top flight and experienced passers.

Look at McNabb’s passer stats before TO came.

TO made QBs better. Even Tim Rattay looked like a decent QB with TO.

Lets see, our top 3 WRs miracoulously have the worst year of their careers last year. All 3 in their primes.

The 2nd year QB, whos scouting report stated he has accuracy and mechanics issues, leads league in pick 6s and crumbled once the all-pro rb and lt went out.

What sounds more reasonable? The QB most of you drool over, isnt who you thought he was, or all 3 receivers regressed in one offseason in the prime of their careers?

Never say never, but it’s doubtful we’ll ever be afforded, in one single season, the amount of luck it’ll take to overcome the combo of GM Jerry Jones and HC Jason Garrett.

Hope I’m wrong.

JC was the OC in 2007 and they did things like bring T. O. in motion from wide and then run the slant. It was JC's offense then so why don't they do that now with Dez or Williams? Maybe they do and I've just missed it.

I'm not saying that a great wr doesn't help a qb look better (which T.O. did), I'm saying a poor passer can make a good wr look bad. Look at what Moss did in Brady's record breaking year, they both fed off each other. It's not to often that you find a poor passer with a wr that had a great year.

There's an old saying. You can't coach accuracy. You either have it or you don't. My son and I went to Parcell's first training camp in San Antonio. The most accurate QB in camp was Romo and it wasn't even close. Also, no body out worked him. He was out there throwing working on his craft after everyone else was signing autographs or hitting the showers. Remember my son and I saying "Who is that guy". Incredible touch on the ball and always threw a very catchable ball. Did he make mistakes at times hell yes, but we sure didn't build much of a complete team while he was here. Sad.

If the WR can't outrun coverage how exactly do you throw someone open?
This concept is used too much. How about an 8 year Vet run great routes and help himself?

On a totally unrelated note, DeMaryius Thomas has had statistically his worse years the last 2 seasons. In the seasons from 2012 to 2015 he had Pro Bowl and All Pro seasons, I wonder what changed in Denver to make his stats suffers so much? I guess he just fell off.

Corny post.
So we're missing Elliott for 6 games, Smith for a few and replaced by a screen door. QBs shouldn't being sacked 8 times in one game. The WR's underachieved, Dak was up and down and everything from his rookie season is ignored and he's the blame. God I hope the offense is healthy and not suspended next season.

Dez isn't in the same league as Brown. Horrible approach to defend Dez.

Youre missing the point, which isnt suprising given your agenda.

Browns QB missed him when he was wide open and they were forced to punt. He goes and throws a big tantrum and tosses coolers, while they were winning.

Dez on the other hand, gets frustrated because hes running his routes and is open and the QB isnt making the throws either because:

1. Hes afraid
2. He cant
3. He doesnt see him open

(3 of Daks biggest flaws and the reason ive gave up hope i him)

How frustrating is that? Have you ever played sports? Thats like the basketball player who is open every single time down the court, not getting the pass while the person handling the ball keeps throwin up bricks.

Its funny because the guy in Philly everyone who sworn Dak was better than, plays at an MVP level when his starting LT went out. Nothing but excuses for this guy.

Who wants a QB that has to have perfect conditions all the time, to succeed?

We had a good enough defense when Wade was here. Problem was our Oline sucked and JG's play calling was all over the place. False start after false start, illegal shifts, forgetting about the run, on and on. At least Linny cleaned up the penalty and flow of the offense mess.

2007 Cowboys: 2nd in scoring offense, 13th in scoring defense
2008 Cowboys: 18th in scoring offense, 19th in scoring defense

Someday the Cowboys, and apparently some of our fans, will realize that a "good enough" defense doesn't win championships. The worst Patriots defense to win one of their 5 championships was 8th in scoring defense.

Middle of the pack isn't good enough. Expecting your offense to just outscore everyone, especially in the playoffs, doesn't work. The 2016 Cowboys proved that, yet again.

Where did I say it was ONLY the LT and not including Dak himself? That's right, I didn't.
