And I've said many times this is something he could get better at.

I want to see improvement before I start investing 1st rounder on WR's. No more costly decoys please. I want guys that will be used.

How do you expect the qb to improve without giving him tools to succeed?

Because the tools will not be properly used.

I don't care about TO or Dez drawing double teams and opening everything up for everyone else.

I'll take my chances on Zeke and the Oline opening up the offense for everyone else.

Also, high bust rate on 1st round WR's and the Superbowl showing you don't need amazing WR's to win it.

There are several factors outside of Dak that make me not want to waste a 1st rounder on a WR.

I'd like to get some guys on the field that can stop Aaron Rodgers and not another WR the Packers can take away so Old Witten can have some space to catch a 3 yard pass.

I'm just asking a basic question..how do you expect Dak to improve?

Anticipating his throws better. Throwing to spots before the WR is out of their route. Not waiting for a guy to be open like he does on the short stuff to Beasley and Witten. He won't get that with his X & Z consistently.

Hurns is a good player and has produced with Blake Bortles. Terrance Williams has been a very productive WR 2 in this league. He's got good enough players.

A lot of what you describe as far as what he isn't capable of doing, requires him to trust the guys that he is throwing to..I think it's pretty safe to say, he didnt trust the some of the guys that he had

I trust that those guys know how to play their position more then I trust Dak.

I've seen them do it. I've never seen Dak do it.

Anything over the middle or with anticipation Dak isn't good at. He's not throwing anyone open. You have to be wide open before he throws that football.
Throwing over the middle is one of Dak's strengths not weaknesses. too many people here are writing off Dak, this year he will take a big step forward

I like Dak. I think he's good. I just don't think X & Z WR's are that important for him.

They aren't that important for Tom Brady either. Dak, like Tom, likes to play inside out.

That would be a good point if I saw Romo throwing Dez open...and throwing w anticipation..but that wasn't all that often either..so dak can't play hero ball w Dez...that's a good assessment and is true

Moore is the only WR I have faith won't bust from this draft class. That being said there isn't a 1,000 yard rookie this year so impact will be negligible. Do we have an 800 yard receiver on the roster? I don't see one.

Hurns- 750
Rookie pick 19/50- 700
Beasley- 600
Witten- 500
Williams- 500
RBs- 250
Everyone else- 250

Dak- 3500

We need 2,000 yards from Zeke and 25 TDs to win the division, 1,700 and 20 to make the playoffs or 1,500 and 28 to have a win and in shot last game.

If you haven't figured out by now that our chance of winning the super bowl this year is next to none without the 2000 ravens Defense you have the same problem as our staff.

Has been being the key phrase. Dez also has been a productive WR1 in this league. They aren't going to see it, they don't want to or don't know how. We're going to find out if Dak is as good as Blake Bortles this year. Should be fun.

I think Hurns gets 1,000 this year.

I have long felt that DT and LB needed to be the first pick, but if Dallas is going to go "Dak Friendly" (I hate that term) then a home run hitting WR is the pick. I think Ridley is Ted Ginn with better hands so he is a pass at 19. Sutton looks like a slower Dez. Been watching more of DJ Moore and this guy is EXACTLY what this team needs. To me he is a bigger Steve Smith. I would not mind him at 19 and D the rest of the way. What do you think?

Sounds like the Cowboys are more excited about Courtland Sutton

I expect everyone to get the blame except Dak and especially Jason.

Brice ran straight down field every play. Easy read and Dak threw it to him because of the 1 on 1 matchup.

Dez & T. Will are proven in this league.

Dez can be a top 3 WR in this league. T. Will can be a highly productive #2. The problem is not the WR's. It's the QB not knowing how to get them the ball.
My friend Dez will never be a top 3 WR. I get he is better than what he showed here, but are you seriously saying Dez can be better than one of Brown, Beckham or Julio?

Easily better than Beckham.

With Romo? He's as good as anyone and better then everyone at hitting pay dirt.

He played in an offense his entire career that was ok with taking what the defense gives and not creating realistic chances for him.

Still want defense.

If the FO plays it's cards right with trades you could realistically end up with

RD1: Derwin James
Trade: Earl Thomas

Tim Settle
Josey Jewell
Or any accumulation of BPA defensive players at the DT/LB positions

Forget WR: Dak played well without Dez in 2016. Go out and get an elite defense, pick up a vet WR with Post June 1st cuts and call it a day.
