don't read much into those training videos. He looked like Ray Lewis & LT rolled into one in last years off-season videos. Need to see him explode without brace and plaster RB in backfield. Then we will know its on.

I ALREADY said that it meant nothing..Jaylon did have 80 tacklez last year..A fr, and a sack..Strugling as he did..lol

I agree that he did flash but I thought overall he was avg LB at best. Just couldn't handle cut backs in tight spaces. But we are hearing the brace is off so its possible that brace was limiting some of his explosiveness. The good news is we won't have to wait long. 1st week of TC will tell us everything.

I agree but I blame the coaching staff for throwing him to the wolves week 1. Coming off that injury it was astounding that they started him. He clearly did not have the timing and speed of the pro game down. He should have been phased in especially given the injury. Fundamentally he was much better later in the season. I think he knew where he needed to be more often and wasn't over running plays like he did early on. Again, the idiotic coaching staff did him no favors. It is undeniable though that he flashed things that most 240 pound LBs can not do.

I predict he is going to be one of the top 2 or 3 defenders on the team this year.

The coaching staff didn't have a choice but to play him early and often due to Hitchens being injured. Blame the FO for not having adequate depth at the LB position.

Until our astute, knowledgeable, Dr Jerry Jones informs me that Jaylon is completely healed, I can not believe Jaylon will be as good as Jerry the all knowing said he will be, video or no video, lol.

I’d love to see him rush (blitz) the passer more often. He has a knack for knocking the ball lose.

Its based on the fact that he was the best player in his draft class before a devastating injury. Its going to take some time to get all the way back, but people know the level of talent he has.
I don't think 'he was the best player in his draft class before... injury.' Not even the best LBer. But I know the hype.

In College which doesn't necessary translate to the same success in the NFL.
He looked horrid last season we're all hoping for the best here....

He was forced into too much action too early last year... it was clear he has far from 100% healthy, but the kid’s head is on right, he is positive, and despite the brace and physical limitations— he was second on the team in tackles

I am not glossing over his struggles at times last year either— but I am also not closing the book on a (clearly!) physically gifted and talented kid who is just getting started and overcoming the kind of injury he sustained

With him being out of the brace now and having a year of reps— I think Jaylon makes a big step fwd this year

I open EVERY Jaylon thread. I want this kid to become what he was supposed to be SO bad. First, he's a Cowboy. So, I want him to be the best that has ever played. Second, from the initial phone call when they drafted him to his work during rehab to his won't quit attitude...I love this guy. He has people pulling for him that root for other teams!

Keep in mind as you read the next sentence, I'm a complete and unapologetic homer...

JAYLON IS GOING TO LOOK LIKE A TOP TEN HOMERUN PICK THIS YEAR!

This guy has gotten more praise and regard as some superstar, than any player in the history of ever, for someone that hasn't really earned it...

For someone that first wasnt gonna walk again....then never play football again....then wouldnt be able to play with a brace....then hold it down when our starters where down.....I think he deserves some praise. I dont think anyone is calling him a Superstar but the facts are by seasons end he was balling last year. With no brace going into the season we all should be excited for what he potentially could be which may or may not be a Superstar.
