Me mum poses, via me, a question:

1. How many of you harbor thoughts (heh) about making the Super Bowl?
2. How many of you believe we can win the east?
3. How many of you fine lads (like me) and tart lasses believe we can get a wild card?

How many do you harbor secret dreams (your secret is safe with me) that we can get a draft lottery pick because we will stink up the joint this year?

I know, I know. Its only one game so far. But consider our personnel and a QB who throws 5 yards short of his receivers. Now, give us a smile and vote!

I dont give up until I have no other choice. Would I bet the farm on a successful season at this point? Probably not lol.

Basically our season hinges on the same thing we knew it would all offseason, our QB.

I bought in, figured given his rookie season and his supposed work ethic hed only get better. I didn't factor in further regression.

So Sunday night when our offense rolls out on to the field this fan will be holding his breath, probably until Im blue in the face lol.

You're right of course.

However, if last weeks ludicrous display isn't somehow improved upon in week two, I think we can start to see how the future weeks are going to go.

Not a chance on 1, 2, or 3 happening. The Garrett factor is too strong of a negative influence. #4, which you didn't number, is the most likely scenario

No on 1 or 2, possibly yes on 3.

2. Win the east? It’s possible, they would need to go 6-0 against philly, wash, nyg
3. WC? Possible

Realistically, we will know around 9p est on Sunday if the Carolina game was an outlier or the norm. If Dallas can’t move the ball, then this will be a 6-10 to 8-8 year and no playoffs. Ask me these questions at 9:15p, just to be safe

I’m not giving up, even if we lose this weekend but since I tried to mentally prepare myself by keeping my expectations low this entire off season I won’t chnage now. They certainly didn’t change after last Sunday and even a win Sunday wouldn’t mak me think any different at this point. So my answer is no to all 3.

If they win 5 of the next 7 I might get a little optimistic about winning the division because I think that may be easier then a wild card at this point.
