Pretty much every draft there is crying. lol I just recall a bunch of JAG talk when he was picked as well as comparing him to Bobby Carpenter and to me this kid looks nothing like a JAG.
He has much better instincts than I expected and that’s huge for a LB
I liked his athletics and thought he would be good but he has exceeded my expectations

He still needs to improve

Takes some bad angles at times... we have been burned on a lot of screens this year

But man is it fun to watch the 2 young LBs flying around

In all seriousness tho, if the Cowboys win the East and make it to the playoffs, I know it's a big if, but if we do I feel the turning point for our season was that tackle that LVE made on the screen pass.

It was the defining moment in the game and that game may be the defining moment in our season. It was so indicative of our season and circumstances. Backs against the wall going into a must win game, moral was low, fans like me hated everything, the game was a recipe for disaster and putting the nail in the coffin for our season. On that play LVE was on an island against 2 blockers on a 3rd down and made an incredible play to save the game. There was no reason we should have won that game with everything going against us and there's no reason LVE makes that play with everything going against him. See what I'm getting at. Like I said before if we go on to have a successful season and win the East like Aikman predicted, that tackle was the defining moment for the Cowboys and for LVE.

I'm going to refer to that play as "The Tackle" from here on out. O, and for the record I am totally admitting I was wrong about the kid. I was mad when we drafted him and I am calling myself out on my stupidity. I was dead wrong about the kid and I am more than happy to admit it and eat crow. I love this kid. He's a stud. I don't give Jerry and the FO props very often but I am impressed with this pick and they slammed dunked it.

Go Cowboys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LVE and Smith have solidified the nickle defense. When Sean Lee returns he will be the back-up to these guys. This is a great problem to have. I want everyone healthy.

He was a heckuv a pick for the Cowboys. His range is incredible and on that big third stop he blew past the inbred center and tackle to make a stop. One of the best plays of the game.
Lee needs to not come back

Ya, I saw where He'd staid in position until that one screen pass to his right flank was verified for vectored commitment & he'd got out-juked for a minimal gain tackle due to a poor angle of attack, he'd taken.

Impressive post,,,

And ,while I'll not Deny harbouring elements of doubt going into that game? ,,,but SEEING that pregame ROOSTER feather fluff up ,was reassuringly comforting to me in just KNOWING our guys wasn't gonna be force-fed their line of crap in that game,,, regardless of the (as yet foreseen)Zebra flagging differential.

Just watched the highlights. What a dream game LVE had pairing up with JS who also was fascinating.

But forget about the great tackle that sealed the game. Forget about the interception and power run back.

But this kid just coming out of college was surrounded by some of the biggest names in the NFL smothering him banging on his shoulder pads. If thats not a dream, nothing is.

Did anyone notice LVE was dancing like a butterfly and stinging like a bee. His legs were like springs.

We should have drafted one of the other two superior LBs; Jerry, Stephen, and McClay are ultra-moronic!!!

If only we could have gotten the power midget Roquan Smith or the lackluster Termaine Edmunds!!

Edmunds is in the DROY discussion, right?!
