I feel that is one reason why his playcalling has sucked. He is so out of touch with what's going on down in the field.

We have the worst offense in the league. Honestly, I find it a joke. What advantage does he actually get from being in that box?
the booth has A/C and heating !!!!!! and jerry has a hotline to booth he can call some of the plays easier.

but really supposedly he has a all 22 view, but it also is out of touch, so there is good and bad to it.
I know he and dak used to pow wow on sideline, but now they cant.

I don't care if he sits on Jerry's lap. Play calling is a art. Some people have it some don't . He's a brilliant offensive mind, but he has no feel for the game. I'm sure he watches tons of tape, but defenses adjust during the game, he doesn't.

I get so tired of seeing Zeke have great success running outside the tackles, yet he will abandon it without making the defense adjust . He could force defenses to quit stacking the box if he'd attack the whole field.

I see CBs playing off our WRs 10 plus yards , yet we refuse to let the WRs run a quick inside slant. We have the speed. It always works for at least 5 yards. But alas, it's not part of HIS offense, so we won't go there.
It's BULLCRAP, HE'S BULLCRAP, AND WILL COST US ONE AND DONE.

I wouldnt mind seeing Jerry pay Romo to sit in that booth with Linehan for just one game.

Well the clearest advantage is for what your arguing against. Keeping him far away from the team as possible during games. And more importantly second...he doesn’t eat or make unnecessary noises when working a booth to annoy others, and is closer to the men’s restroom for his bladder issue. Yeah,I had that once too, when I got sick and couldn’t control the diarrhea, and started pondering men’s diapers so I could finally get some sleep. Trust me,it’s better this way for everyone if he just stays in there, while they go about the business of finding his replacement.

Players on the field get all 22 pictures the moment their drive ends. Honestly, I don't think it would matter if he sat in the booth, on the field, or in the locker room. He's just not a good fit for Dallas.

Um, maybe it keeps him out of the cold wind? Just a guess . . .

i guess he sucked too in 2016.

No. He didn't but that's part of the point. He had the advantage of a rookie QB who no one had tape on. He had an o-line that was dominate.

He doesn't now. But he doesn't adjust. Last year's Falcons game was a microcosm. One lineman was getting destroyed but he never adjusted. He allowed that one lineman to get mauled and cost Dak's confidence in the process. No adjustments at all.

But its not just a single play, or game. It is multiple seasons. We are still running the same damn offense that worked in 2014. That was a beautiful year, no doubt, but those players aren't these players. Dak ain't Romo. Zeke ain't Murray. Cooper ain't Dez. Quit running a damn offense like they are.

He doesn't tailor his offense to his players. He expects the players to tai!or themselves to his offense. That won't work. Dak doesn't have the same strengths Romo had. Get him out of the pocket more. Quit running the same damn routes.

To be fair, this isn't just Linehan's fault. It is endemic to Garrett's offensive style. I firmly believe that Garrett could be a fine head coach, if we left his offensive style completely behind. Bring in someone completely new and even out of Jason's comfort zone, who understands how to utilize a running QB and all the weapons we have. I believe Garrett would look massively improved, as would Dak.

PS: An actual QB coach and a healthy o-line wouldn't hurt.

From the booth he gets to see the wide open receivers Dak some how misses, gets to see the sacks develop as Dak holds the ball and tries to coach to his playing level that day. I am at the point of believing that the OC and HC are calling plays to mask Dak's weaknesses. Common theme is SL stinks, don't remember that in 2016, started last year when Zeke when out and Dak couldn't carry the team or throw a pass to save his life, squeaked by Tampa no thanks to Dak, I am not a hater wish truly Dak could be the answer but doesn't look that way and Jerry in his infatuate wisdom has no QB that may show promise on the team, like the idiot gambler he is he put all his chips in the pot on Dak and he will regret he did in my opinion.

Its like a chess match and his skills are old school. He's playing with the same boring moves not adjusting fast enough or frequent enough. He's letting some of these newer guys or some of these newer Play books out play him.

No he developed a whole new offense for Dak that was fresh. Nobody knew what was coming next. Then in 2017 we get the Linehan base offense. more of same this year.
Same with 2014, he developed a horizontal attack for Romo and abandoned it in 2015, you saw the results both years.

Ask yourselves, is the offense on the field yesterday anything remotely like 2016, a offense that was tailored to Dak and Zeke's strengths?

Why aren't we running the miss-directions, counters, traps, RPOs and variations of it? We have OL's who can pull and kill people.

Maybe because Scott's ego won't allow it. Please Jerry, if you make one adjustment this off season, make it this clown.

I think he likes it up there because he can dip snuff, curse, and fart in peace. That's all he's good at anyway.
