The referee who resides near the LA area ....

Yeah! That LA based ref has to have been an LA Rams for decades! Oh ... no ...that doesn’t fit ... well, many years anyway! Oh, well, uh no ... that’s not right either. Well, damn it, the guy could have been an LA Rams fan for two whole seasons! Yeah, that’s it! That intense, unshakable loyalty built from 2 whole seasons of the Rams being in LA made him cheat the Saints out of the game.

Exactly, Goodell was hired and works for the owners, so I find it nauseating that people continue to blame Goodell when he's the figurehead and point man for the Owners
Really? You believe that AFTER what was done to Zeke? WITH his very own in investigators finding NO evidence to prove guilt?

Owners may have selected Rog......but that gave him power. Power to be corrupt.

Him being voted in doesn't guarantee the league fairness and just decisions.

The league gave him an extension after that. They approved.

He's not there for fairness. He's there to do the owner's bidding, and take the heat. Hate him if you want, but if you do you're simply falling for the owners' ploy. They want you to hate him, they want you to blame him, so they can sit up there in their comfy owners' boxes and smile in the adulation they receive. Because their plan to get the fans to fall for the scapegoat worked.

Are you from Earth? This whole gig is politics. Top to bottom. Rogers guaranteed a huge profit and got it. Who wouldn't vote him in? You must like commercials that generate millions of dollars.

That's what Rog gives us. Screw football......I got you your 12 billion.

However, in the process it's become stagnant.
They gave him half of what he wanted.

And he's got owners in his hip pocket. Has NOT done squat to even attempt to fix the clown car officiates.

That to me, is priority ONE.

No one needs to come forward to expose it. Every football fan that saw the play (AND THE GAME FIXING NON-CALL), knows what's happening.

Sorry, I refuse to get into a battle of wits with an unarmed man.

Your post makes no sense and doesn't seem to be responding to what I posted.

I'm so tired of hearing saints fans whining. They STILL took the lead with two minutes left.

They COULDNT stop the Rams from tying the game.

They got the ball FIRST in OT.

ALL OF THE ABOVE AND THEY STILL couldn't win the game.

And quit pretending that Sean Payton would have run out the clock had they gotten that flag. He could have run out the clock before the non PI call. But he didn't. He threw it 3 straight times for incompletions.

Why? Because the man is an idiot that's why. Here's a tip.....if you want to win games.... Leave Drew Bree's in the game on 3rd downs instead of putting a running quarterback in there instead. The whole world knows you're running when the put him in there (Hill). Drew freaking Brees......... And you take him out on 3rd downs. Payton is an idiot.

...There was a time in the past when I thought no way!...No way would NFL officials, or anyone in the NFL organization would allow, condone, or actually participate in any form of corruption. The years and games since then has changed my opinion. I still reel over the "Dez" catch/no catch bs...But the Saints were cheated plain and simple...I listened to Sean Payton's last two press conferences...after the game...he was flaming mad...the next week it seemed he just wanted to forget about it and move on. But I also listen to Goodell finally responding publicly to the situation...He seemed to blame the no call on simple...Human error!!!...Now you know a few refs were watching that pass play...no-one could have, or should have missed the interference...no-one!
So Goodells answer is just an excuse.
AS for the SB game... gotta watch it my friend....I've already bought beer and chips....have a heart!:flagwave:

Actually there's a lot of people out there that aren't going to watch it. Itll still be crazy successful. But I'm pleasantly surprised there's people sticking to it. I'll have the game on for entertainment sake. I can't let this 4k screen and food go to waste :)

I know the title is provocative, but I'm not leading with that to annoy others, just for the fun of it.

I'm serious when I say that Goodell needs to hear the message loud and clear, the debacle that the NFL has become will not be tolerated. Officials who watch NFL receivers get blasted, helmet to helmet, before the ball arrives, and then do nothing about it, have revealed a great deal.

They've revealed they are acting maliciously toward a team in the playoffs.
They have been given instructions to prohibit one team from winning.
Incompetence will no longer cloak these truths.

Knowing that, (there is no dispute or controversy) will you actually promote the destruction of the NFL by watching?

I know that Super Bowl parties are a tradition, and they are a great opportunity for socializing, but the time to act is now. Football will be unwatchable if the public ignores the game fixing that went on. I've been invited to a Super Bowl party already, but I've turned it down. I know its not an easy thing to do.

Will you seriously consider making other plans? Fishing, a get together with friends, doing anything else?

The NFL must get this message. WHAT FOOTBALL HAS BECOME IS UNACCEPTABLE!!
No doubt that was one of the worst call in the history of the NFL. Dallas did get away with a key facemask on Russell Wilson and nobody here was complaining! Bad calls and no calls happen all the time in the NFL but they arent always this critical because this actually did change the outcome of this game. The problem is the NFL isnt going to admit they made a mistake and replay this game. That would cause more back lash and issues down the road with every game played. I do believe they will handle this in house and there very well may be some rule change about reviewing plays. They wont make every play reviewable because these games would take too long too complete. What they should do is take those challenge flag plays and give that red flag the ability to challenge ANY play on the field at ANY time during the game. That being said I am still going to watch the SB and cheer for Brady and Belichick! Two of the greatest of all time!

The owners gave Goodell a 5 year extension while Zeke was suspended so obviously they don't share your outrage. It was a high profile case - he's a star with the Cowboys, not a scrub for the Titans - and the NFL wanted to look tough on DV. It was a PR move, which has nothing to do with "fairness" when you're talking about a bunch of rich guys.

The mistake fans make is thinking Goodell works for them. He does not. He does the bidding of his employers - 32 NFL owners.

Football fans will only not watch the NFL if players are speaking out for equal rights for all people.

They didn't though. What they admitted was that player athleticism had outpaced the rule. That and the fact that fans don't read and explanations as to why it wasn't a catch proved futile against grunts of "it looked like a catch."
No man. They came out and said he caught it. I remember arguing with you about it non stop lol
