They go 14-2, 13-3 this year if Amari was here all year.

Only the rams who went to the Super Bowl could beat the cowboys. (We saw the saints get whooped).

Dak, Zeke, and Cooper healthy make the cowboys a LOCK for the playoffs.

glad you dont have enough money to sign anyone, you arent a team owner, gm, or coach..so you dont get to make any of these decsions and when they come, deal with it , they wear the star and its not coming out of your bank brah..

Based on how the league currently operates and how most teams do not pour significant resources into the TB position, I would say my thinking is pretty much in line with the majority of the NFL, brah.

What's at play here is that you guys latch onto players and get emotionally involved with these guys and then it's tough to understand the business and football operational sides of this. The NFL has shown you that you don't need a big time, high priced TB to win. You don't. That you don't need to invest resources into the TB position to win.

I see no specifics what so ever in what Jones said and a little surprised about the over reaction of basically saying they intend to work out deals with DLaw, Dak and Zeke which I fully expect to be the case however there is no mentioned what so ever about contract figures. As for Zeke does not sound as if they will do anything until some point in 2020 since Zeke has the 5th year option.

And I'll tell you now, you're wrong. With those three, we got our first shutout since 2003. There is no sure bet they would have won the games we lost.

You know what this also means right? The offense is still going to be heavily reliant on the run.

Reportedly, Zeke is already hinting at wanting to get paid soon. He isn't waiting until the end of his 5th season. You can bet on that and I'm sure his agent is advising against waiting.

Gotta love this franchise.

Wouldn't pay Murray a lot because they had data that said there was a downturn in production of TBs. But they are going to pay a crap ton to Zeke.

Note, Murray isn't as good as Zeke, so spare the responses. But the data doesn't change depending on who you have at TB. If they truly believed TBs, at the time of looking at Murray, decline during the period we will be paying Elliott a ton, and then drop $70MM on Elliott, they are insane.
I’m not sure the Cowboys said that was the reason they let Murray get away or if that was the fans claim. In any case Murray hadn’t had the consistent success Elliot has

Yes there is.

Dak. Zeke. And Cooper. We’re blessed to have them. They make the cowboys a guaranteed top 5 NFL team.

Their just that good.

It was fairly well reported that the deep dove into the analytics and overall production from TBs over time to arrive at their max ceiling to pay Murray.

only because there was some year where they weren't taking them high, theres been resurgence and look at Bell, Gurley, David Johnson now and at one time AP got 11 per I believe and coming up will be Zeke, Founrette, and Saquan and all of them will get the double digit money.. just like other positions as the bigger young names come for their second contracts they will get it RB/TB is having an resurgence the last few years and the paychecks will show it IE Gurley, Bell and Johnson.. the reason its not as significant is theres a lot less of them to pay as opposed to DE, CBs, Safetys, and O/D Linemen..leave QB out of it its different zip code..

if Zeke wants more then Gurley I for sure would not want that kind of contract here , something similar maybe..same with Tank, Dak, and Amari..Cowboys need to be SMART, give them what they deserve but not make them the highest paid at their positions..that can cripple team cap..

I was thinking the Cowboys played it as not being in a position to pay both Dez and DeMarco, but in any case, for whatever reason the Cowboys may feel Zeke is a better bet than DeMarco was. A team can't treat every player and situation as identical.

Exactly what I was thinking. The Jones boys just love telling the world their plans.

"We're going drop an atomic bomb on Japan in 1945." - Colonel Jerry or Major Stephen in 1942.
we did tell their government about the second one. and threatened one a week until they surrendered unconditionally. that which is glaringly obvious doesn't need to be kept a secret.

We're a stupid franchise. Gotta keep those jersey sellers though.
I told you we're paying Zeke because that is what we do. Not that I honestly care either way because it's not my money. It's not about Jersey sells I firmly believe that the Jones' believe in this "family" mantra. Their guys.

Stephen is stating the obvious while simultaneously assuaging the sensibilities of zeke. smart moves to my way of thinking.
