In order to have stereopsis or depth perception the vision in both eyes must be close visually. This man does not have any depth perception. In the state of Texas if you have best corrected vision of 20/200 or worse you are legally blind in that eye. Also if you have tunnel vision (20 degree field)you are also legally blind. You are right if he has good vision in his other eye he can see and function quite well because his brain will always choose the clearer eye to see. Go Cowboys

Heck, if you put your hand over my left eye, I'd be blind in that eye too. I dare say many, many folks would be also.

It’s reporter Mike Garafolo’s piece on a Division II edge-rushing prospect from the University of Charleston (W.Va.), Kahzin Daniels. Daniels is a late-round/free-agent type, but he’s caught the NFL’s attention because he had 31.5 college sacks, most often getting blocked by more than one lineman. The kicker: Daniels is completely blind in his right eye. Good football piece; better life piece. Garafolo finds an 8-year-old boy going blind in his left eye, and shows Daniels mentoring him. Powerful piece.

RDE does not need a right eye. In fact it gives him a more focus perspective to the QB eliminating peripheral distractions as he is rushing from RDE. However, he can not line up at LDE or any other DL position. Very dangerous for him on special teams. So a team would have to be committed to play him at RDE, no special teams, and give him a single position on the roster.
