If you’re taking a chance on a guy why not take more chances.

What are the odds of your fifth rounders making instant impact.... so you take more shots.

Jerry actually spoke about this yesterday. Said they learned to not trade back so much because it didnt work. Fast forward to today.

I’m not going to kill them on the picks they made because this year is the 1st year I haven’t paid attention in a long time. What I will kill them on is trading down into a bunch of 6th and 7th rd picks. Those players seldom work out. Most end up cut by the end of TC. If your board is wiped out, try to trade for 2020 picks. It’s not smart drafting if you trade one rotational player for 4 who are cut by the end of TC.

They’ve blown the draft really..

I think the lack of a first rounder really did a number on their enthusiasm for the draft just like it did with our fan base.

Our 2nd round pick was pre-meditated and they completely screwed up the 4th round.

You're welcome to your opinion, of course, and I'm not excited about it either, but I told myself after Anthony Hitchens turned out to be a somebody that my opinion really is so skewed by what amateur media scouts say that I shouldn't be so easily persuaded that I know anything.

Waiting until training camp. Will know better then.

It seems like they approached this draft thinking they had a perfect roster with only one real need - DT. Used their premium pick on that and then the rest of the draft for depth, backups and camp bodies.

The guys on radio said they were accumulating late picks because they didn’t want to have to “fight” for UDFAs.

LOL.

Striking me as being arrogant. Like they think they know better. When it looks like the exact opposite.

Safety and cornerback still unaddressed while they took two backups to sit behind the two best players at their position in the league in Elliott and Martin

Arrogant huh...you mean unlike people from the outside who think they know better?

So you’d rather have player 136 than players 158, 213 and 218 is what you’re saying.

Player 136 was Michael Jordan, a guard, who cincy got a D+ grade for drafting.

I’ll take my chances on one of the other 3 guys being better than him.

My opinion is usually skewed by what I’ve seen from the player.

Sometimes I’m wrong but sometimes so are they. They are nothing special and anyone who follows football and the draft for most of their life can identify prospec s at a similar level to these clowns who pick punters and kickers in the 4th and 5th round.

NFL scouts don’t deserve to be put on a pedestal.

None of these guys have played a down of ball for the Cowboys yet and everyone here is coming unglued because they aren’t picking who they think they should pick. Then if someone likes the pick- they are a homer

I'm happy to ultimately be proven wrong, but I'm giving this draft a solid thumbs down to this point. Missed opportunity after missed opportunity.

Thats my thought. The players may be okay but the team as a whole could have done way better

Last 2 picks they traded down, The Raiders picked Hunter Renfrow from Clemson, that dude has great hands..
They are maki gtbese amall later rou d tradedowns. Ecause they do t have specific players targeted.

Maybe we like Renfro, but they probably had a dozen players that THEY rated better or as good, so they still got one of those players but added another pick.

Pick 138 was the final
Pick of the fourth round.

We traded pick 136. And people act like we just gave up a hall of famer. For moving from a late fourth to a mid fifth plus a sixth and an early seventh.

This isnt team with alot of holes. Makes no sense to accumulate late round picks. Dallas tried this years ago and players just didn't stick. Instead of accumulating 6th & 7th rounders why not angle for 5th rounder in 2020. D- after first three selections.
what holes?
