LOL.

He played longer, threw more passes so I would hope his numbers were better. His completion percentage was worse and that's bad considering he played in an era where passing overall became more effective league wide and completion percentages jumped.

He's a fool who struggles to accept the type of player he was........... good, not great.

Andy Reid's style and where the NFL was at the time really gave Mcnabb a big advantage.

Dallas was a balanced offense. Philly was completely pass happy.

So of course Mcnabb was going to have inflated numbers.

Whats funny is just about every QB who plays in that system regardless of talent has success.

Andy Reid is just a brilliant offensive coach. Maybe the best the NFL has ever seen.

Yep. He’s always been his own worst enemy. This take of his is just another example of why

And Tony Romo's numbers are better than his! Now what
There you have it.
Romo won't get in (unless it someday includes broadcasting as total contribution to the game) due to no rings or even close. He's not getting in on just being a QB, imo.

McNabb has no rings, was a career 59% compl % and low QB rating....and whose numbers were worse in the playoffs.

He's not lying. He does have better numbers than Troy. Troy does have rings and did play with HOFers.

I don't think he's a HOFer. He played in a era that a super bowl win is almost a must because the numbers are going to be there.

Like it or not, Super Bowls count with HOF voters, and there others besides Aikman who are in the HOF who's career numbers alone wouldn't have gotten them there. Lynn Swann is the most notable of that group in my mind.

I think McNabb is out of his mind to suggest he is a HOF player. He had a few good seasons. So do many QBs.

The reality is there are 25 or less QBs total in the HOF and you can count almost on one hand the amount of them that didn't win championships in the Super Bowl era, two of which played in three and four Super Bowls respectively (Tarkenton and Jim Kelly) and one is arguably one of the greatest QBs of all time (Marino). You also have guys like Fouts and Jurgenson, and Moon.

McNabb needs to find a hobby, since it's clear he's struggling with retirement, and the fact that the Eagles finally won a Super Bowl without him or that walrus former Head Coach of theirs.

Carsen Palmer sits at 46,000 yards and I doubt he's getting into the HOF. So if a QB wants to get into the HOF without a ring I think he needs about 50,000 plus yards. Because that number excludes a lot of QB's that were good but not great.
