I thought you were talking about me when I saw your post...

It had to be Jerry, the rest of the Billionaires in the US are all monks.

I doubt Bill Gates could do one pushup and he has a written contract with his wife that he gets several weekends a year with another woman.

Don’t forget the freak thunderstorm that collapsed their training “building” Jerry took care of all those that were injured. Above and beyond what was required.

I agree that no one can question his care for his players and coaches. But, he still makes the final decisions on the personnel and I believe, even game plans. Jerry is a good man, but he needs to hire a real GM and HC, then sit back and be an owner.

What's a real GM? Only ones that fit your criteria?

The Herschel Walker trade wasn't bad either.

I just don't get the haters that can't take the good with the bad. Jerry has plenty of faults, just like every other owner and GM in the history of the league. But on balance its a net positive and if the haters really have an issue with Jerry, they would go insane over the "Don't care, just turn a small profit" group of owners the league has seen.
Their brains are just wired that way. They are the type of people you don’t want in your close net group of friends. They just bring you and everyone around them down.

These personal stories are great but

If you’re a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and you root for the guy who is willfully solely responsible for the continued mediocrity of the last 23 years, then you’re a moron
Case in point to post #19

How would a turd like you know that?
The way you write provides all the evidence, can only imagine the way you speak. I do like your American Eagle though so I guess you are not all bad.

Whenever some blowhard tries to strip Jerry of credit for our success in the ‘90s, I ask them one question that immediately shuts them up:

“Who hired Jimmy?”
Exactly.

The Landry firing, as ugly and mishandled as it was, had to happen.

I’ll always give Jerry credit for having the cojones to gamble on hiring his former Arkansas line-mate, Jimmy Johnson, and then letting Jimmy run the football side of the business. Considering Jerry had just spent every penny he had to acquire the Cowboys, the Jimmy hire showed a LOT of confidence and trust.

Wish the two of them could’ve stayed together a few more seasons, but big success usually takes big ego, and that pair of JJs had ego in spades.

Love Jerry. He wants to win more than any fan here. Sure he was a narcissist early on and made some big blunders, but he was smart enough to back off and let the football people make the personnel decisions. No one can question his care for his players and coaches. He’s in the Hall of Fame for a reason.
He got the jacket for what he's done for the league financially. If they gave them out for humanitarian efforts I'm sure the hall would be bursting at the seems.

This is why you root for Jerry - to do what exactly? Not very polite.
