if so, let’s trade Zeke for him and a third round pick and call it a day.

I want you to go compare their stats.

After doing so, you should ask the mods to delete the thread to save continued embarrassment.

I bet if MG ran behind the Cowboys OL and Zeke behind the Chargers OL the past three years their stats would be reversed....or no less than equal.

Again, not a straight up trade, the ‘boys would also get a high draft pick.

MG would probably even take less than Gurley money too.

Very good trade option imo.

I wouldn't pay Gordon that much. I really don't think he is all that great.

But he is at least in the last year of his deal....he is right to be fighting for a top tier deal. He is in much better bargaining position than Zeke.

The CBA allows renegotiation after 3 years. The 1 vs. 2 years left distinction seems to mean something to fans but it has nothing to do with leverage.

Zeke actually loses far less money holding out in year 4 than in year 5. If he misses 10 games, he's out 10 game checks on a 3.8 mill salary. In year 5 he'd be missing games on a 9 mill salary. Pretty obvious why this is the year to hold out.

Also, if Gordon is in a better bargaining position, why doesn't he have a deal yet?

How's that "anyone can run behind this line" mentality played out so far?

People said that about 22 as well. They, like you, were wrong.

Good point, he would take less money to sign.

He’s a very good RB.

Plus, my scenario calls for Dallas to also receive a high draft pick.

This makes a lot of sense... if the Chargers are open to it.

I have posted here for a very long time. I have made so e really ignorant posts.

You can do better than this anchor post I'm certain. This was a really poor idea.

He would be in Dallas....anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded and dishonest with themselves.

No he wouldn’t. It’s one thing to say you can make any quality RB productive behind your line, but to say you can turn fringe-probowlers into elite backs is just ignorant.

That’s where JJ’s sales skills would come into play ;)

Hey, it’s worth a shot.

If Zeke truly is a once in a generation player, why wouldn’t he be coveted by a team lime the Chargers?

JJ would need better sales skills than what he's using trying to convince Zeke to settle for less.

You’re the ignorant one if you don’t think the system and team he plays on makes a world of difference in production.
