I dont think he is HC material at this point. Let him be the little OC genius nerd. Get a real man to handle the HC duties. A grinder.

But lets be honest. Garrett isnt going anywhere. With Moore heading the offense this team is a true contender.

You might be right about Garrett not going anywhere.

I'm just hopeful.

That said, Moore will be a head coach someday. I think chances of if being soon are relatively high for his age, and the fact he looks, comes off kinda young.

Young coaches are trending, though.

This is what I expected from Moore.

He's going to be high-octane.

Just look at his college career. Then look at him. He can't be the guy who put up those numbers, but he was.

You can see it here. If you watch his highlights, he's all over the map as far as throws on the field.

It's really great.

Gruden says Moore's offense was the most complicated he'd ever seen.

Go to about the 10:00 minute mark to hear Gruden talk about how advanced Moore's offense was in college.

"Our whole goal, from an outside perspective, is to make it as confusing as possible."

"But these shifts, motion, have a purpose. We're not just doing it for the heck of it. It's to create an advantage."

I can't say for certain whether he turns out to be a good one, but I'm glad he's running the offense. And having a great first game (although the rumor is he also got to call some/all of the Giants game), hopefully means the reigns are staying off.

I haven't been this excited in years for a Cowboys debut! What an impressive start for the offense! Kellen "The Hammer" Moore may just earn his nickname after all!

I can’t remember the last time we played a game and guys were just running free like that.
How’d you forget??

It was last year or the year before vs the Giants. T will was wide open. Once.

It really is strange we haven’t seen open guys. I wonder what Garrett thinks?? Jerry?

Well he is a better OC in ONE game than Garrett is after 20 years in the NFL.

I unfornately missed the game, but it sounds like it was fun to watch. I'm glad he did well and hope he can keep it up.

We can just take Dakotas quote on Moore;

“It was tough,” Prescott said Sunday night of the man now coordinating the Dallas Cowboys offense. “I didn’t like it. But I also admired that part of him and wanted to be that some day. ... He’s one of these geniuses.”

As long as you remember play calling can also limit execution
If a WR's route is to run at the DB and just turn around and he does that, the play was executed to a T and the WR did not get open.

Execution might be more of a thing in college, but in the pros, there's quite simply a lot more to it.

Its amazing all that Moore has been able to do with the changes he has made to the offense. And getting everyone on board and executing with confidence that they have is impressive. I cant say that Garrett led offenses have been anything close to what we saw at the beginning of the season. When Garrett has been in control of the offense they typically start out the year flat and look sloppy.

5 straight TD's and 5 drives? Never had to settle for a FG? I dont care who we were playing, that was impressive. inefficiency in the REDZONE has been a staple of the Garrett offense.

Moore called a great game. NYG DBs suck but he still called a great game and actually took advantage of the known weakness. When was the last time we had an OC that would do that?

The amazing part is that we actually picked on the weakness. Instead of this "take what the defense gives us" mantra we had a gameplan.

They have a very good corner on one side and a rookie corner on the other. Its no secret what our game plan was. We attacked the rookie. Whenever we could get one on one we took advantage of him.

Yep, that was the number 1 thing that needed to be fixed.

And that's exactly what they brought Moore in to do....

Yep. That's the difference.

Moore's strategy actually is a process. But not in the sense the process is an excuse or a mantra like with what you get from Garrett's strategy, which is more about appearances than winning to me.

We've been playing checkers on offense.

Now we are playing chess.

In my opinion, the biggest upgrade we made all off-season was Kellen Moore.

You can see it in the players. They all believe in the system. Because it works.

Moore is not only Mr. Anticipation. He's Mr. Pragmatic.

Brilliant reply.

yeah, what the heck does Dak know about football. we should just come to you.....apprantley you know more than coaches, players.....
Dak basically said the same thing his rookie year. He said he was already familiar with most of the plays because they ran the same stuff at Mississippi State.

I honestly don't see how anyone was not impressed. I know we have a long way to go and better teams to play, I get it. But we have not looked this fluid and in synch for years upon years.

Linehan was a real one.

Dak despite having one of the worst OCs all three years was still a $32M player and a top 14 QB(top 5 young QB). He knew if he let Moore be OC earlier then Dak would have been a $50M QB.

Let's pour one out to Linny tonight

I wasn't sure what to expect, but I remember reading that literally every coach that ever worked with Kellen talked about how brilliant he is at x's and o's. It showed. I hope it keeps showing and that clappy the clown is forced to back off and let Moore run the offense
