I feel he just needed to get his foot in the door and be granted the opportunity to display his wares. He's an extremely valuable addition to our active roster, imho. His return abilities, ability to separate and having excellent hands, he should become a highly reliable target, as he gains experience. I'm certain that our receivers coach, Sanjay Lal, is smiling widely, right about now! Cedrick Wilson has been his prize student from the start. ;)
He had to be sweating a little bit with him on the PS. I was shocked they only kept 5 WR. If they kept 6 he would have made the roster.

Austin's spot going forward could be in jeopardy now. Pollard is capable of running the pre-snap fly-sweep action and run pass routes at least comparable to Tavon.

Weird to call up a player from the ps and release him the same week.

Did they think Austin's concussion would be OK? It seems that players now almost always miss a game if they have a concussion issue.

Covington replaced Chunn for week 1.

Once you pay Dak and taking into account the upcoming contracts it may be tough to pay Cooper 20+ mill/year which he is likely looking for

We may be looking at Gallup, Cobb, Smith and Wilson next year which ain’t too shabby
Gallup isn’t a number 1. Didn’t we just go through this before Amari came?

Devin Smith is the next guy in line for receiver work.

Probably, but Pollard could get some more work as well. Wilson replacing Covington makes it seem like he will be doing mostly special teams.

Yah, I agree. IT will be in special teams where we would see him. Im looking forward to seeing Devon Smith.
