For some reason, I get the feeling the league doesn't respect him. Heck his own team hasn't signed him. Wentz and Goff are locked up....why is he still without a contract?

I agree witcha. Most people on this forum have been killing Dak since his rookie year. Trade him, he sucks, we will never win anything with him, we can't beat teams without a good quarterback. Got so tired of hearing it that I questioned my own judgement. But I never wavered. We have a winner in town right now. Lotta crow been served and eaten as we speak. Go Cowboys!!

Not sure if things play out exactly the same without the threat of Zeke, but imagine if Zeke had continued to hold out and Dak had this start. Wonder how it would have played out.

I'm actually surprised we haven't heard that its only the Giants and Deadskins. That is usually the go to for the haters. Make it look like it's because of the inferior opponents

Rumors are that the sides disagree on the length of the deal.

Cowboys want a longer contract, Dak wants a shorter one so he can presumably cash in again at the new market rate in 3-4 years.

It has nothing to do with the league/his team “not respecting” him.

The last two years, he hasn’t played well enough to be worth the type of money those guys got and that he was demanding. However, he appears to have taken a huge step forward and actually leapfrogged all the young 1st round QBs. Perhaps it was all on Linehan’s playcalling and the scheme that was holding him back or maybe he just gets it now. It’s probably some of both. Whatever it is, if he keeps it up, he will soon be getting mad respect and money.

As great as he's been Mahomes would probably get the nod in early MVP voting. Dude is playing on a level we have not seen.
Depends on the teams records by year end. If the Chiefs are 13-3 then he likely is a lock. If Dallas is 13-3 and the Chiefs are 10-6 or 11-5 than Dak could easily be the lock.

I disagree with #3 - it was just a bad pass. Nothing wrong with that - every QB misses some. But Gallup had his guy beat and Dak didnt put the ball where it should have been.

Dak has been absolutely amazing!
I agree it wasn’t a good pass, but there was a lot of air under the ball and plenty of time for Gallup to adjust. I don’t know if Gallup lost it in the sun like one poster said, or if he just didn’t adjust well. He’s probably never going to play centerfield for the Yankees. Lol

The numbers will only be more impressive after he faces a Dolphin defense that has given up 102 points in two games.

I'm containing my excitement until I see the what he does against playoff-caliber teams.

Huge Dak doubter. Believe he's been a bus driver his whole career. Got lucky with the O-line and running game, thus making him better. However, I really believed he was gonna take his game to a different level this season. I wasn't gonna bet my house on it, but I thought if anyone could elevate their game it would be Dak. One thing I've always really liked about him is how he seems to be a great leader on the field. I am not gonna say he's elite yet or make any bold predictions about him. I will say it feels good to be wrong about him after 2 games. I hope he continues to make me wrong his whole career.

I heard he wasn’t any good? Dink and dunk? Can only handoff to Zeke? Game manager?

Suck it haters
Those are/were the posters that don’t know what the hell they are talking about. Romo loyalists or Wentz worshippers or both. Beyond sad that as Cowboys fans they can’t enjoy this success. Oh well, that’s their problem...:starspin::starspin::starspin:

A year ago, you said you wanna see more than just 5-10 yard dink n dunk passes. Now we are moving the goal pole back a bit......lol. He's destroyed 2 weak opponents. Exactly you'd expect from an elite player playing at a high level.

They are saying it on some sports shows. Eric Mangini said we'll see when he has some adversity as if Dak has never been in those situations before.

What will they say when Dak is the Superbowl MVP this year? After the season last year, I had a deep feeling that Dallas was going to the Superbowl this year. I am hanging with that feeling and I believe Dak will be the MVP of the Superbowl. Dallas will beat the Pat's. :)
