I expect to get a little heat but honest question, how much of Mahomes is special talent vs Andy Reid? Remember Reid was a playoff fixture with McNabb. I'm not sure there's a more QB friendly out there. Not taking anything away obviously from his special arm talent but it's safe to say Reid is Kellen Moore x 10. Master at scheming and creating mismatches....

I've been genuinely satisfied and happy with Prescott's improvement. he's gone from Captain Checkdown to someone with a quick release who steps into his throws and delivers with power and way more accuracy. I credit him with his strong work ethic and Kitna with helping teach him so far

I was not on the bandwagon and have been HIGHLY CRITICAL OF DAK, but he has shown much improvement this year. They have surrounded him with weapons, and what appears to be an effective OC. Really, what QB would you take right now over Dak?
Mahomes--probably
Brady--Maybe
Rodgers? Not so sure.
Ryan--no way (and when the season started I would have made this swap)
Wentz (Hell no)

Anyone else?
I'd take Brady and Rodgers in their prime and probably Wilson too, but gimme Dak over all three as is.
Of the rest, Mahomes and maybe Watson.

I think he sounds like many on this board. At some point even though you may think he isn't good enough, you have to admit that he just keeps playing solid. Solid may not be flashy but it can be consistently good. The naysayers will come out of the woodwork if he has a bad game or two but for now they have no way to criticize him. Keep it up young man! You are our QB man!

Some of his supporters- and I was in this camp - said he was improving as he aged and expected the next step to occur as a function of his work ethic meeting age and experience. He’s pushing into a higher tier this season through two games, that’s obvious. Hope he keeps it going and expect him to because he’s an elite decision maker with enough tools and the work ethic to do so.

Dak is good
Dak has improved
I’m very happy that he has made the strides that he has

I need to see him against a great defense when he is under pressure
@percyhoward had posted some numbers previously that Dak drops off significantly when pressured. Great and elite QBs don’t do that

Let’s see where we are at the end of the year

The numbers @percyhoward posted was drop off that Dak had when pressured on 40% or more of his dropbacks during a game.

All QB’s drop off when pressured heavily. Dak was dropping off more than most in that circumstance though.

Cowherd did a complete 180 in the past six months. He just said Dak was tier 3 a couple months ago.
Cowherd has just as much of a right t have Dak show him as anyone else. There have been several people that have had doubts about Dak's ability to hone the finer skills of the position (yours truly being one of them).

I respect a guy that is smart enough to recognize what he's seeing rather than an idiot who digs his heels in because he too much of a douchebag to admit he was wrong.

Great stuff by Cowherd, btw I would never buy a car based on JD Powers ratings, but Cowherd is right. Dak just wins, he is a leader of men, there are no outstanding athletic qualities but again the kid wins, the kid is a leader, the kid is a good human being. Winner at Life = Dak Prescott!

Mahomes is a once in a lifetime talent, Andy is creaming his pants thinking of how lucky he is to have the opportunity to coach him!

I’m still trying to figure out what physical traits and talents Dak doesn’t have that limit his ceiling?

Is he as tall as a Wentz or roethlisberger? No. But he has good height.

He is built like a mini tank.

He is an excellent runner for a QB, has decent quickness and can run with power. He is also hard to take down in the pocket due to his strength.

He has more than enough arm strength to make all of the throws and enough arm strength to make throws off balance.

What physical limitations does he have that gives him a significant lower ceiling than anyone else?

He's progressed more than I expected. It's great to see. He's not elite. He's not Mahomes and never will be. But Mahomes is on another planet in terms of talent

But you can win with him.

After 2 games, the offense no longer goes through Zeke. It now goes through Dak.

As of today, I would take Mahomes, Wilson, Watson over Dak. Maybe Mayfield. Not sure about that one. If Wentz could stay healthy, I'd take him. But he can't.

But that's it

Dak played super elite (71.6% completions) when Cooper arrived last year. Collins is obviously slow to learn.

To be fair, Prescott has greatly improved, so I do expect people's perceptions of him to change as well.

Dak has a better offense he's running under Moore. He has been playing elite before these last 2 games. People (media) are fickle.
