I seriously thought we could have gotten something for him, heck even a 5th rounder? The fact sources are saying they will move on from him without basically getting anything in return, why would anyone in the league give anything up if you show your cards.

This is exactly what teams do, especially those at the top of the waiver wire.

Dallas' best shot at ever getting anything for him was to trade to a team at the bottom of the wire. And most of those probably wouldn't want him anyways.

at what point do they just not allow his input or use it ? dont blame RM when the draft room picks are made by Mcclay and approved by the Joneses..

I hope Rod had a better gut feeling on Hill. At least Hill seems like he might be a worker. Taco was a slug.

My guess is teams may be interested but don't want to pick up his salary even if they are only giving up a late pick.

Thank you. They can't be THIS stupid...can they? o_O This entire soap opera is so dang confusing. Dude flashed some skills during preseason, hasn't been investigated, suspended, thrown on the exempt list or punched a security guard lately. So, what could this guy have done to warrant treatment like this is beyond me. And don't tell me it's because he's a 'terrible' DE, because if this is the reason, Crawford wouldn't be @ practice either.

But it's easier to make that pick when the DC is also backing it. In other words, I suspect if Marinelli wanted no part of Charlton, he probably wouldn't have been picked.

They're not. He's a scrub who made a few plays against backup backups in the preseason. Not to mention a complete malcontent and moron.

I'll be shocked if Taco is simply released.

Defensive lineman are key to this game. It's difficult to imagine the Cowboys couldn't get at least a late round pick for a young player who was drafted in round one.
