Easy answer - Jerry has a history of revoking the press passes of those in the local media who speak negatively about him or the team. Most of the media doesn't want to lose their access so they kiss his butt instead.

I suspect jeri is controlling access to the team, fail to tote the party line or ask jeri about his GM'ing "skills" and they might find themselves on the outside looking in

the last guy I saw ask jeri a hard question is now covering the Mavericks:

I've been speculating this was the case for years but I don't have any evidence to support my assertion

Do you have sources to back up the claim jeri is revoking press passes?

They'll get banned from the star. The jones beleive in media retribution.

The guys on 105,3 The Fan right now are not very soft, its refreshing. They must not be on the payroll.

I think you're referring to when Barry Switzer was punching Dale Hansen in the arm during a contentious interview years ago:

Jerry was asked directly about Jason and he gave the same ho-hum boring answer he always does. That's why. It's not a story anymore. I dont think anyone believes he'll actually fire, let alone call out Jason midseason. He's said verbally Jason is like a son to him. They're not gonna get what they want for their tabloids so they don't bother.
